Jags being the fourth choice at center back, and probably rightfully so, spells real trouble for the future of young Holgate. However I'd prefer if neither had to start another game this season.
Not sure it reallt spells trouble considering Jags is like 36.

It's less about how he stacks up directly with Jags and more about what his quality level is if 36 year old, on his last legs, can barely run at Premier League speed, Jagielka is still a better player.
He’s better because he’s got years of experience under his belt. It’s quite understandable.

No need, because in situations like Sunday he's absolutely ideal.
This will be his last season with us as a player, and rightly so. But there's no need to boot him out of the exit door.
Holgate will benefit more from a loan than sitting here as 4th choice CB, whereas that's not going to hinder Jagielka at all.
Must be due a testimonial when he hangs up his boots or moves on, well deserved too.
Think you've confused the words 'servant' and 'slave' mate. Servants still get paid, so there's no issue in calling him a servant. Alternatively you could just call him a very good footballer.
