Its good to see him getting some praise in this forum.yes he started the season poorly but that was the only time in his everton career I can remember him being out of form. He's not the silky Beckenbauer type that some want but for me he's the perfect foil for John Stones and he couldn't wish for a better mentor

In the recent past we've had two no-nonsense CBs in the shape of Jagielka/Distin. That's changed now to stopper+distributor in the shape of Jagielka and Stones. Imo, to suit Martinez's game-plan better, we need to have another ball playing CB who can slot in with Stones when we face certain types of opposition who present us with a different type of threat.

There's an evolution away from the Moyes type of CD unit that'll be for the better of our play. Yes retain Jagielka, but let's make him one of three realistic starters.

LOL

Yeah mate, for sure.

I'm not a fan of his as our captain but give him his dues he has performed great since the new year IMHO.

As well as his form improving massively since the turn of the year, I think he has voiced his opinions a bit more readily with the officials of late. I just wish he would be a little more forceful with our own players e.g. He's the skipper, he should lay down the law over who takes penalties and then if needs be, he can argue behind closed doors with El Bob.

Its just not Jags nature,I just think we need to find a nark/bully type skipper from somewhere, whether we will I doubt it,with Jags as skipper we'll always do ok,but do we just settle for ok(NSNO and all that!!)
