You've ignored every point I've raised in qualification of my opinion. And tried playing the politics card too.

Stick to previews pal. Be a shame if you got banned again.
Hahaha meow! Nothing does scorned like a right wing hateful loon. I got banned taking down two of your fellow bigots, show more gratitude that I let you be please.

There was no qualification of your point as you was basing it on a naive viewpoint that very few people would agree with. Even the Everton players!

But no they're wrong and you're right!

Somebody punch someone!

read the post properly pal.

I did, you said...

is going to get worse as he loses what little pace he has.

'What little pace he has' implies he has no pace to begin with, which is not true.

He sure as hell didn't get it for his defending, mate.

He probably did tbh. That and his influence both on and off the pitch which I'm sure the players also took into account.

I'm going to stop quoting you because it's awkward on my iPad, but I haven't mentioned his passing accuracy. Stones is boss, but he's lacking experience which Jagielka has plenty of. Stones definitely has the potential to be better though.

He will decline, but I don't know why you think his ability is going to drop off a cliff like Distin, the majority of players are more gradual. A long term replacement is needed, but Jagielka will still be more than capable to be a regular center half for us next season imo.

As for your barry comment, he is a player who had no pace to begin with.

You let me be? LOL.

You made a fool of yourself in that thread pal. Let yourself down by attacking the posters rather than their posts.

If an condition of having an opinion on here is that the opinion MUST be shared by others, including current squad players at the club, then it would be a fairly quiet discussion board, wouldn't it?

Fact remains, Jags was pony until Stones came back. After Stones returned, our only truly woeful display was Kiev away - when Stones was unavailable. Our defence record this year was abysmal, and Jags was a far bigger part of that problem than Stones was.

But it's ok, because people like Alcaraz and McGeady think Jags is great. SO great in fact, that he is going to defy the aging process and will never ever need replacing. Hey, Richard Gough was good too, let's have him back in the squad.

Jagileka played badly when he had a terrible player alongside him.

Hows that hard to understand, if you dont feel comfortable with the player alongside you, your gonna struggle to perform, coupled with the liability in goal behind him and it made his performances suffer.

He was selected player of the season by ALL his peers and the fanbase as a whole.

Hes a truly remarkable defender and will only get better with age.

Hes got probably 2 full seasons at the very top, hes a fit lad and he appears to have a lifestyle that will only prolong his career, we should look to phase him out of the first team around the middle of the 2017/18 season when its likely we will see a SLIGHT drop in his overall performance.

No worries re the quoting difficulty - I've had the same trying to use Mrs. Tree's ipad and it's no fun at all.

The remark re the passing accuracy was preemptive - didn't mean to suggest you had mentioned it, it was more a prediction that you might because others have raised it previously and, as I mentioned, it's a meaningless stat if not placed in a wider context.

"What little pace he has" clearly implies he has SOME pace. Don't see how you can interpret that otherwise. If I thought he had no pace, I would have said he has no pace. He does in fact have some pace; my concern is that it's going to wane and when it does we are going to have problems with him because I don't think his positioning is fantastic by any stretch of the imagination.

The crux of the issue is the bit I have put in bold. We both actually agree on the basic premise, I'm just suggesting we get a long term replacement in sooner rather than later.
