Just feel that each injury he succumbs too he loses a little more edge to his game. Time may well be catching up on him faster than we had hoped. He just looked troubled yesterday. Perhaps a week off will be the necessary tonic for him.

I said during the burnley game that it was two bad games on the bounce but he would be back. Unfortunately I think we are seeing him hit the buffers now and agree that he is done. He looked all over the shop on Saturday and the pace that he had to put recovery tackles in had totally gone.
Koeman has to be brave and play Holgate next to Williams and bring another centre half in in January. We should do everything we can to bring vvd in from Southampton.

Yes mate at the football.

I like the guy, but is he on form enough for an int. call up? I'd say not at present.

On form mate he looks utterly done, was Phil Neville against Wigan bad yesterday, if he was fit as we believe he is, then he has lost completely all pace, and without that he's a liability to the team and finished at a decent level.

His next game (for us) may be indicative of how long we can depend on him perhaps?

Honestly think that like with Neville against Wigan mate that we have just seen a player come to the end, now becomes if the manager saw the same thing a lot of blues did.

Once that recovery pace goes it never comes back, and it went for all to see against Chelsea. Takes something truly terrible to stand out amongst the rest of that shambles but it was so glaring. The one thing that elevated him and covered for his weaknesses appeared to have utterly gone, hopefully holgate is given the games now as alongside Williams he'd have a fantastic mentor and would give us someone who has pace at the back which we are alarmingly absent off now.
