hold my hand xIm a lad, lad.
It's not a question of yelling at someone, it's making sure his teammates know what their doing and giving instructions if they get it wrong. When the back four is a total calamity you'd think the captain would be telling them to get it together but nothing comes from Jagielka. When the team is struggling, like we've been for over two years now the captain should be playing his part in leading the side and helping his teammates. I don't see that from Jags. I haven't said he's never been a good player for us because that would be untrue. I just don't think he's ever been a good captain and that he's got away with mistakes that others would of been crucified for.Personally think he has often shown leadership on the pitch by his performances, like he did at Wembley last year despite being injured.
But then I have never been a big fan of the Terry/Gerrard yell at someone style, just seems like trying to publicly humiliate a teammate a lot of the time.

I'd agree that at times he could be a bit more vocal in his directing of other players, especially at set pieces. It's not a question of yelling at someone, it's making sure his teammates know what their doing and giving instructions if they get it wrong. With hammers?
Oi Oi Eko lad, are you a LaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaD?
Off the pitch as an ambassador to the club definitely. On the pitch as player, in the past certainly but not so much recently just like everyone else. As a captain I though I honestly don't think he's enough of a leader. Some are just natural leaders while some need to be lead and Jagielka just isn't a leader for me.I'd agree that at times he could be a bit more vocal in his directing of other players, especially at set pieces.
But think in general he has represented us as captain well both on and off the pitch.
