Good as ever, I thought today. Looks to have a great understanding already with Williams. I have to say, I don't really understand the shouts from some for him to be binned.

....what a good pro this fella is. Helped his country qualify for major tournaments on more than one occasion only to be left out of the final squad. As soon as the tournaments were over, he's called up again. He never complains, he never retires from international football. I remember the furore from a reds fans when Carragher wasn't getting a game for England, he threw his dummy from the pram.

Jagielka quietly gets on with things, I suspect he's widely admired in the game.
