Phil Neville - your thoughts now?

Was happy to have him at right back instead of Hibbert....then his embarassing comments and stupid dinky crosses just made him look like a fraud.

Should have been sold to spurs in 2011 for 250k. No idea why moyes kept him --probably as he was teachers pet.

A grafter for most of his career - respect. But by the Gods he stayed on too long - his limitations seriously damaged our play. Up there with some of the 90s horrors as the worst footballer I've seen in the Royal Blue Jersey in his last few years.

Want to say I'd be surprised if he makes it as a coach - just seems like a bit of a yes-man and lacking the personality / ideas you need. OTOH - he's been proving people wrong his whole career, so is probably quite tough in himself.

£3.5 million,I thought we got pretty good value, better as a right back but had some decent games filling in in midfield, respect to him for the pen against the Mancs at Wembley too,I don't hate him,but he's no EFC legend either!

I like him a lot more now that he doesn't play for us. Can't blame him for Moyes playing him 3 years after his sell by date. You can blame him for his gash interviews and ultimate lack of respect for Everton.

To be fair he seems a good, if ludicrously tedious, bloke.

Garbage player and an even worse captain.

The atmosphere at the club has noticeably lifted since he stopped being the media mouthpiece.
