I’m flabbergasted by peeps who can’t see what issues we have in the team. Just adding Coutinho, because he’s better than Iwobi, is a ridiculous argument.

We need options off the bench just as much as the starting 11.
Our bench at times this season has resembled an u23 team.
Top clubs have strength in depth to bring on. Thats the road we need to be going down.

If we played them on either wing, you would need Doucoure and Allan fit every game, which ain't going to happen. So a strong rapid, box to box midfielder would have to be acquired as well. 4-4-2, with Ritchie and DCL up top, will definitely need a fast right back Aaron's possibly would suit.

I'm not going to link the thing, but i see there is a story this morning that suggests this is being pushed by Kia Joorabchin which would mean it's coming down from Moshiri. Joorabchin is a menace and is fairly disliked across football for a number of reasons and i hate the fact him and Moshiri seem to be mates. The article stated that Carlo wasn't against it but was concerned how it would affect James. I do get that and id hate that we are forcing a player on Carlo but at the same time James should not be dictating what our transfer business is especially given he can only play for half the season. Hopefully this is a no go.

I do think this season has showed we desperately need more creative players - he’s 28 , a proven Brazilian international and I think would add a lot to the team...when fit.

The main issue for me is injury prone again, we have james/allan who seem to miss a lot of games and delph/gbamin who have contribute next to nothing.

Squad balance wise - if you replaced Bernard and Sigurdsson with Coutinho then that’s a good move IMO.

We would still need an attacker with pace who could play on the right. Like the look of that Villarreal winger

Having three Brazilians in the starting lineup would be good fun mind.

We payed 30m for a bag of sh!te in iwobi as a squad player. I wouldnt even go near 150k a week for couthino. If hes not prepared to come for a wage offered then no deal.
Again, countinho as the only signing is not the answer. Coutinho over a season would be a great addition to options.

Bernard is on $100k for goodness sakes.

When & if fit and if Carlo wants him , its a very different option to what we have in depth atm.
