we have that with doucoure, now i agree we need a backup one like that. Maybe Gbamin is that.

The bar isn't exactly high is it, He's 29 and not even what we need. It would be the most short sighted signing ever, If we're in Europe an argument could be made for it, Thankfully it's made up tosh and 100% not happening.

Right, for a start Digne isn't fast, he's similar to Baines, not slow but definitely not fast. Coleman could well be in his last season and has lost a yard of pace understandably with injuries and age. You forgot to mention Godfrey who is the quickest in the team.
In my opinion we need a new right back with pace, Aaron's, a new centre mid with legs, and definitely a right winger/ forward who can play up top with pace.
Coutinho, getting a lot of injuries, not particularly quick, high fee/ wage, very good player though, I just feel we could do a little better with the money available, younger, faster more hungry. But again our team in my opinion needs more speed and mobility.

Thats your opinion he wont offer anything. Its not everyones. 30m doesnt actualy buy you that much today. We paid 27m for a player from relegated watford who is decent enough in what he does but lacks quality. Whats unbelievably obvious is our home performances where we cant stay on the front foot because we lack to many who cant unlock.
If you have a list of exactly whats needed then zip it over to ancelotti

we do need a RB, another CM to replace doucoure and a flying winger.

But we also need some more creativity alongside James. If you mark James out of the game we have nothing else.

I do wonder if people have actualy watched us at home this season. If rodriguez isnt on song there are no other lock pickers. We're virtualy waiting on alex iwobi. And thats going to be an eternity of waiting.

we are the easiest team in the league to defend against. We have 1 route of attack, unless James produces some magic. Try and get the ball to Digne... and hope for the best
 

Random thought. He is a different profile of player to what we've brought in previously, similar to James.

As in, he's a winner. He knows what it takes to compete and win the big trophies (and contribute en route). He's not going to be terrified of the big occasion. Just another step to changing the club mentality, possibly? Holgate mentioned it is something that is already happening recently.

Is he what we need on the pitch? Goals from midfield and creativity are lacking. Admittedly questions about fitness. But he would argusbly be an upgrade on, say, Iwobi.

I'm not so keen on pinning things on one signing though. If he were to come in I'd still want to see more dynamism and power brought into the side, particularly midfield.

Probably all crap though.

Yeah. Personally think we need a right back, another ball winner, and a effective attacking wide player to replace Iwobi.

We'll be pretty solid then
