Youd forget about Gbamin. Id be surprised but happy if we got another central midfilder after PEH. Its just the numbers dont stack up for another one. It would be PEH, Gbamin, Gomes, Davies, Delph in there. Certainly an out would be needed.

See Leeds were promoted wonder would they have interest in Delph, hes been a real waste of resources so far.

Im counting Gbamin out tbh mate - 2 bad injuries and no togger for nearly 12 months next season will for me be about him rebuilding fitness and getting to grips with the league maybe off the bench and in the cup games against lower league sides.

Would definitely sell Delph / Siggurdsson - im hoping Delph's "injury" is us having found him a new club once the season has ended.

Think we have to be hopeful hes young enough mate, but i get were you are coming from, the jungle drums sound good on him though and his potential in training.

Delph has been a surprising let down, i always liked him, but when we needed players to stand up hes just sat down both on performances and injuries. You can say that is bad luck, but if you are paying 125k in wages a week you need some kind of contribution, looking at Delph, Beranrd and Walcott (though he gets a pass this week) here. What we pay them for contribution is poor and you have to question those decisions, especially when we are working in the bugdets and limits we are.

With Delph and the other two i cant see anyone else picking up their wages. Sad thing is you take the contribution of Gordon and Branthwaite in the last few games and they are on a tiny percentage of what the players i mentioned are, but making a bigger contribution, even Daives and Gylfi have shown up and been warm bodies. Its part of the problem at Everton even still in this Neo Brands age.

For me we need 6 players this summer:

2x CM
LW
RW
CF
RB

obviously try offload the deadwood like Delph, Tosun, Siggurdsson, Sandro, Besic etc but I would also be looking to offload players who we dont really need who could fetch a good fee / offload wages:

Kenny: £10 million
Bernard: £10 million
Kean: £20 million
Mina: £20 million
Iwobi: Loan deal with option to purchase for £18-20 million the following summer.

Thats £60 million & an FFP profit with over 200k a week off the books for players who honestly have little value to the starting 11 at present + potential funds from Iwobi the following summer.

Signing 5-6 good players without selling will be very difficult but this is where im hoping the club wheel and deal and try get players on big wages who as you say aint offering much out the door.

Keep Mina, kenny as back up too?

Delph back to Leeds. The stuff dreams are made of.

Cant see it happening mate, id keep Yerry and Kean definitely, you need to grow a team and they are young enough and competent enough to grow with us, i see head room in their development, huge quality in Kean. Id have a look at Kenny, when he comes back and make an assessment post loan, the potential to save us a few bob this year shouldn't be underestimated. Id have a low threshold to loosing, Iwobi and Bernard. I think Gylfi may be a surprise one as i think there could be a market for him, i think the move hasnt worked out for etither party and i think we would get a return. Id be open minded on Walcott as well, though it creates another transfer we would make so comes down to player trading. We have two many flankers on big money - the likes of Gordon could easily slip into one of those sqaud spaces.

Id like two center midfielders, think we will get one, a right sided inside forward - someone like Everton. While if Gylfi goes we need a 10/creative midfielder - while id be looking at Rodriguiz. Id be open minded on Thiago Silva for a season.

If we reduce our wage bill with Sandro and Bolaise gone ill be happy to.

The limits i see us playing in are, 60-80 mill of a fund for transfers - before anything we generate. Thats made up of 40 mill odd capitalized of stadium costs after planning permission and the extra sponsorship money from USM, i might be a bit off in figures due to the impact of Covid. Im expecting low cost transfer fees on big wages to be honest in the main - this PEH deal and the like. So PEH, SIlva, James - low fees high wages. Maybe a splurge on Allan or Everton at 20-30 mill. But we will see.

If we sign Gabriel I think Mina should be open to offers as I can't see him getting much game time with Gabriel/Holgate/Keane infront of him and young Braithwaite showing promise.

I dont mind Yerry but he is inconsistent and ultimately for the wages he's likely on I don't think he would be required.

I like Kenny's character but just dont think he's good enough for the Prem.

I agree in the CM x 2 and a RW and LW but I also like us going down the CB path. Means we can send the two young blokes on a loan or sell Mina.

If PEH is one of the CM's then it is crucial the other one is a box-to-box creative midfielder. If we don't pair him with someone that can pass and create chances then there is no point. He is a very effective defensive midfielder, but should only be allowed to pass the ball 5 yards.

A midfield group of PEH, Allan, Gomes, Gbamin, Delph (he will stay according to Carlo presser), Gordon, Walcott, new LW and new RW would be very good.

That means all of Davies, Bernard (who I'd be happy to keep), Iwobi and Siggurdsson gone.

I think alot of our fans have forgot that under Moyes we only bought players when we sold players! I think since we've had the money come in we are scared at the thought of selling any player who isnt classed as "utter deadwood" even if they dont really contribute enough to the starting 11 for the high wages they are on.

If we sold Kean/Mina for £20 million each people would moan even though they have done little to nothing at the club and could help bring in a player who becomes one of our best players.

For me we need to get back to wheelin and dealin like Moyes did - players often wouldn't stagnate that long because Moyes would sell ones who maybe weren't doing enough and getting a few quid to freshen up a position that needed strengthening. That and utilising the loan market more like we did in Martinez's 1st season.
