The world's only Michelin-starred pizzeria is in Naples. I guess Naples is like the Wembley or Lords' of pizza. I'd love to go there and eat pizza every day. Still never been there unfortunately.
Had pizza in Naples, Sorrento & Rome and, controversial maybe, feel that it's overrated. Emperor's New clothes. Don't get me wrong, it was good but didn't feel it was any better than pizza here.

Having said that, I have the mentality of a five year old and will have as many meats (except chicken) on mine as possible. Chillies are also a must!!!

I had several superb pizzas in Venice about 15 years a go..

Never been matched.

Although those home Ooni ovens are very close!
 

Born and raised on Lou Malnati's Pizza. Still order it frozen to my home in Virginia, now that I don't live in Chicago.
Lived in New Haven CT for about 7 years and thus Modern APizza is still a favorite of mine, especially their white clam.
I find New York pizza to be extremely overrated.
The Malnati's Chicago Classic is probably my favorite pizza of them all. In fact, I think that's what I'm having for dinner tonight. Thanks for the idea. :)

Beyond that, sausage-only from a neighborhood joint that no one will have heard of.

But, for what it's worth, if any of you one day find yourselves on the south side of Chicago, check out a place called Obbie's on Archer Ave. You can get whatever you want on it, but their sausage-only is friggin outstanding (omg just thinking about it..).

However, they're carry-out only, so you'll have to find a park, or eat it in your car. :)
