Players Out on Loan 2022/23

This to me is the most important factor in deciding if we keep Dyche on, regardless of what league we’re in. The model from next season has to be a core of young players, such as Branthwaite, Garner, Patterson, Cannon and Mills. Even if Branthwaite ends up being sold we need to be bringing in that profile of player, no washed up journeymen like Maupay. Basically, our esteemed board should be asking ‘what would Brighton do, they always get it right.’
If Dyche won’t buy into that then and wants to sign a load of 29/30/31 year olds, we need to thank him for his efforts and move on.
100% agree - I sort of forgot Mills although he's not out on loan. Mystifies me why he's not on the bench but perhaps that's the problem with Dyche - he doesn't trust youth / players with a lack of experience.

In fairness we were hearing the same about dobbin last year and he’s struggled to make an impact in league one. It really is a massive step up.

of course it's huge step up but curious that Dyche won't even have Mills on the bench don't you think.

If we are relegated then the bulk of our squad are highly likely to be youthful players rather than players that have been around the block like Keane and Gana.

Is Dyche the man to oversee that redevelopment or is he too set in his ways ?

We shouldn't be selling him. In fact clear the way for him to play.
Keane, Holgate, Mina, Cody should all be sacked off, and let this lad play. If we stay on the league we are gonna be pants anyway, so no expectation on him.
If we go down, I am sure he will handle himself well in the Championship.

Won't have much of a choice IMO.

If we get bounced in the championship...I'm on the phone to my agent getting me a move or back to PSV if I were him.

Well dyche certainly doesn’t have a track record for it. Whether he’s capable of it I don’t know but I agree that it would be a definite concern.

I think that would be insane.

Branthwaite would have experience in Holland and a year in the championship with the favourites to go up would do him no harm at all.

The risk is with Everton as weve managed to let his contract drop to 2 years.

I disagree Zat.

Whilst keeping Branthwaite and building a defence around him is good for us ( if we can afford not to sell him as one of only a handful of saleable assets ) a season in the Championship does absolutely nothing for his development , especially if he is being coached by someone like Dyche.

I thi k he is just trying to get the job done.
Not many managers throw their faith in youth when in the deep do do.

Suppose we have Warrington to think about as well.

Unfortunately he's one of the easiest we have to sell for a profit.

With someone like Onana i can see both sides of the argument if the fee was £60mil++ in the clubs pocket.

Branthwaite though, has to be kept on and his contract extended.

Any chance we will see more of Lewis Warrington had a few loan moves now. Would like to think the club has plans for
Branthwaite with atleast two cb leaving in mina/ coady.

Yep.

And Dyche won't play him with Tarko and Kegger there

Financially we'll be in the mire. The player can play at a better level.

From a club prospective...we need to sell. From a player prospective...he'd be looking to play and develop elsewhere

All sellable assets will be gone.
