Players Out on Loan 2022/23

We shouldn't be selling him. In fact clear the way for him to play.
Keane, Holgate, Mina, Cody should all be sacked off, and let this lad play. If we stay on the league we are gonna be pants anyway, so no expectation on him.
If we go down, I am sure he will handle himself well in the Championship.
Think you’ve missed Godfrey from that list!! He’d be one of the first ones out the door.

Brant Waite and Tarks would be amazing in the championship, just can’t see us keeping Tarks on £100k a week if we go down. Branthwaite being one of the lower earners with potential you’d think we’d build a team around….which means we almost certainly won’t.

Lewis Gibson's Bristol Rovers lost 2-1 tonight away at Shrewsbury. Interesting to see where he ends up next season. He hasn’t really kicked on like other members of the England U17 squad that won the World Cup in 2017 (Guehi, Foden, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Adoi, Connor Gallagher, Smith-Rowe etc). Good Championship defender I'd say.

I think if we go down 20-25ish would be very hard to turn down for Branthwaite. I like him a lot and would love him to stay but when he’s spent a season playing in Europe and winning a trophy he’s going to want to kick on not go backwards.

We will need to cover a massive shortfall in revenue with sales AND fund some sort of transfer budget to fill the gaps with decent players, if Branthwaite can fund 2 or 3 investments in young talent we probably have to take what’s on offer for him.
So we sell a kid With potential to buy 2 others, makes a lot of sense, why not keep the one we’ve already bought. We have other players to trade, Pickford, DCL, Onana. Maupay, iwobi, Gomes, gbamin, Keane, Godfrey, holgate, Myko. Added to the out of contract players we should be able to raise a lot of money and not be forced to sell a kid with high potential

Nah, you’re right, players in contract hardly ever force through transfers. I’ll pipe down.
Always on the selling club terms IE Gordon at 45mil. Branthwaite has potential, but he ain’t going to be a regular next season at the majority of prem clubs, the Dutch league is not a strong league, people ain’t looking at him playing for one of the best teams in a weak league and think let’s throw 35mil at Everton

Important 1-0 win for Jarrad Branthwaite's PSV away to Sparta Rotterdam. Keeps them in 2nd place ahead of Ajax. He played the full match. El Ghazi scored the winner. 8 goals in 20 games for him this season.

Not such a good night for André Gomes, whose Lille lost 1-0 at Rheims. 90 minutes and a booking for our loanee. Lille remain in 5th (Conference League spot).

Another assist for Niels Nkounkou as St Etienne beat Guingamp 3-2.

Big day for Harry Tyrer tomorrow as Chester take on Brackley Town in the National League North play off semi final. Lewis Dobbin hoping to help Derby secure their play off place in League One (probably off the bench).

Disappointment for Lewis Dobbin as Derby miss out on a play off place after losing 1-0 at Sheffield Wednesday. They had a player sent off early on and went one down. Dobbin came on after 69 minutes but couldn't help them get back in the game. Derby finished 7th.

A 2-3 defeat for Lewis Gibson in his last match for Bristol Rovers. He played the full match. Rovers finished 17th

Lewis Warrington played 85 minutes in his last game for Fleetwood, a 2-2 draw. Fleetwood finished 13th.

Sadly, end of the loan for Harry Tyrer as Chester lost their play off semi final 1-0 at home to Brackley Town. From the Chester website sounds like he played a blinder.

Thanks for this season John ;)

Will be interesting to see who comes back and plays a part depending what division we are in.

I think you've hit the nail on the head.
If we go do and have a fire sale / clear out then Warrington, Cannon ,Dobbin and former loanee Simms become important squad players.
I'd love for us to build the team around Branthwaite but fear we will cash is , such is our financial position.

This to me is the most important factor in deciding if we keep Dyche on, regardless of what league we’re in. The model from next season has to be a core of young players, such as Branthwaite, Garner, Patterson, Cannon and Mills. Even if Branthwaite ends up being sold we need to be bringing in that profile of player, no washed up journeymen like Maupay. Basically, our esteemed board should be asking ‘what would Brighton do, they always get it right.’
If Dyche won’t buy into that then and wants to sign a load of 29/30/31 year olds, we need to thank him for his efforts and move on.
