Because he fails or because he does well and gets poached?

I just don't think he's the sort of guy that would really get much from making us great again. I reckon if he manages a couple of top 5 finishes and maybe win the FA or lord forbid the actual league cup, that will be seen as more successful than either of the two previous managers in the eyes of potential clubs that would want him as their boss.

I think he's just earning his stripes to get a bigger job.

The guys a proven winner. Everton aren't going to win the league this season. If I know that, then he knows that too, so what's he doing here?

I'm probably making no sense here sorry Mikey.

Nothing Will Be The Same.

However, we are a bang average team with above some average players and a very good manager. Koeman will make big decisions later this season and some won't be popular but they need to be done. Off-loading fringe players like Kone, Delefeou, Cleverley, Gibson and regrettably Oviedo isn't hard and won't be his issue. It's getting rid of the likes of Jagielka, Baines and Mirallas that will transform this Club. All past their best but still big earners.....SAF did it regularly and it revitalised his teams. RK will do it too in my opinion. This season is simply a 'settle in, observe and plan major change' season.

The first thing is making Goodison great again. Last seasons home record and the horrible atmosphere at home was completely unacceptable, we need to be a place teams fear to come to again. That with a finish between 6-8th in the league would be an acceptable first season after last year.

You include Deulofeu in the fringe and then say "regrettably Oviedo"?

Yes mate. Somebody with skill to burn but paper lungs is neither use nor ornament. A professional footballer who can't sustain energy for more then 20 minutes is not going to move us on to the next level. I love Gerry but he simply isn't fit enough and visibly shirks tackles and visibly ducks headers. Oviedo is excellent full-back cover.

Oviedo lost his pace, engine, skill and ability to defend following his injury, I'd rather have Funes Mori, Galloway or Holgate at left back and none of them are left backs.

I think 7th is the upper end of the acceptable range at this stage.

City
[Poor language removed]
Spurs
United
Arsenal
Chelsea

We're not finishing above those unless there's some sort of implosion. So for me 7th is probably the best we can expect. But there are some other teams who will probably feel 7th is a real possibility too.

Still don't think United and Chelsea are that good. But we're also very average. 7-8 sounds right and would be fine for Koemans first year.

Harry Redknapp is not predicting a high finish for Everton, though, instead believing they will be the best of the rest.

“I think Everton will finish seventh,” he told BT Sport.

“I look at the league and for me, the top six will be on a different level. I see them being the team just outside. I don’t think they’re quite good enough.”

“I’m a big Everton fan, it’s a great football club. I think they’ll come strong and stronger and I’d love to see them do that.”

That's fair, I'm not sure how they can compete with the other 6 given their starting position compared to us, also many people weren't happy with the window so I'm not sure how any of them can expect us to be higher. Last time we finished higher than 7th UTD/Moyes SPURS/AVB had a stinker, that's what we would need to rely on.
