Till the end of the season, fine, but I doubt he’d take that. He’d want 2 years minimum. Dyche then becomes a better option, but Allardyce till the end of the year if he’d accept it is the better option. He’d be paid handsomely I’m sure.

We all thought last summer was the big one, and it was really, but it was such a catastrophe that it makes next summer enormous. New long term manager required, as well as buying virtually a whole new defence, new wingers and new strikers, replacing past it players and ball bags like Mirallas and Morgan. We really are in a mess.

Sam Allardyce has always said nice things about us, particularly in relation to our history and our fans. He definitely "gets" us.

And unlike Dyche he's worked with some big name players, with both England and Newcastle.

He's also never been relegated, unlike Dyche and Moyes.

I'm just not sure, though, that he's good enough to take us to the next level. He did turn Bolton into a top 6 side, but that was a while back.

Just got back from holiday and this is the first thing I read.....

FFS people, just no, why would anyone want this sweaty mess...

Like @chicoazul I have no idea who to bring in yet as I thought Koeman was an excellent appointment, so what would I know

Although the Dortmund boss might be a good place to start
