Totally understand that mate, But if they got injured Saturday chances are they would recover in time

Seems pointless to risk your 3/4 key players 3 days from the biggest game we have played since 2012

Resting players fpr the derby killed Moyes after we fannied up the following game. PLayers should be able to play 2 games in a week. Rest them round these games if necessary.

That Gerrard hattrick night was just horrific. It actually had the complete opposite effect and just put more pressure on the players going into the cup game against Sunderland in order to justify the selection.

If we rest 5/6 players and get snotted 3-0 then that'll do bugger all for confidence within the squad.

Its not about fitness, its about risking the likes of Lukaku with utter carthorses like Sakho and Lucas around.

We've got such a sound squad depth that we could easily put out a strong enough 11 that would still be able to turn the RS over.

They could. Difference is, it is a certainty that that lot would get some perverse pleasure in making sure some of our players didnt make the semi.

Stopping short of saying this non scouse team would actively try to, but I would put nothing past some of them. Kuyt, Skertel, and Henderson to name 3.
