Possible Director of Football

The Leicester fans thought so when he signed his new contract. Interesting article here about him:

Great find that. He certainly will be an asset director of football seems to me to be a promotion of sorts for him but it seems a decent fit.

We are not quite able to go out & take whoever we choose without quibble however he seems a really good appointment the transfer element of the role for me is the important part & the rest he can learn the article proves he has a history of evolution

Telegraph has an article about him coming to us, behind a paywall though, can't see it. I don't think it's something new just that it's looking more likely than not.
Not behind a paywall at all - that's the Times, Telegraph you can easily read for free just googled it.

Steve Walsh of Leicester set to move to Everton as Sporting director of Football (DoF)
According to the telegraph

Love how even though we have money we won't just spend it for the sake of doing so. This guy is unheard of but seems to be a shrewd signing- a hidden gem. He is the most important one Moshiri will make.

Felt a bit sorry for them, reading how this could be far worse than losing Kante and Mahrez etc, until a few blerts started with Saints fan'ish talk about them being as big as us and "not to Everton".
Sky has condensed the history of football into approx 20 years. It seems that history is even smaller and is now all about the last couple of years!
Its time for Everton to rewrite history and strike back, there will be casualties but lets be the hound and not the fox!

From Monchi and Mourinho to Walsh and Koeman.

Monchi has stayed at Seville, who have only finished higher than 5th in La Liga on 3 occasions in his 16 years there, and no higher than 3rd.
Mourinho was sacked by his last club, who finished the season 10th.

Walsh won the league and found key players at both Leicester AND Chelsea.
Koeman is a very good, ambitious, hungry manager and not an ego-obsessed narcissist who flatters to deceive and causes murder behind the scenes if things don't go his way.

Telegraph doesn't have a paywall. Anyone can read the article.

It's from a good credible source (Sam Wallace) and it basically says Walsh has had his head turned by Everton and the money involved, similar to Koeman.

Walsh also has north west roots and used to be a PE teacher in Cronton in the late 1980s.

It's Southampton all over again, reading the above thread.

"Everton aren't a big club, why would he go there?"
"Their owner isn't as rich as ours"
"Can't stand Everton, a club focused more on their rivals than getting success themselves"

And my favourite:

"Everton have turned into an absolutely horrible dirty nouveau rich club these past few months, throwing money around scattergun fashion"

Bear in mind this is Leicester City, in the 3rd tier 7 years ago, only to be bought by a Thai billionaire 5 years ago who has since ploughed millions into them.
