Agree, it's not a plausible theory. The fact is also that we have been active in our recruitment activities since Koeman started so to me the story doesn't add up.

I simply cannot see that being the case. If Walsh is being appointed, it could still take who knows how long to confirm, and I don't believe, regardless of the fact that we are yet to get going, that the club would have made transfers contingent on a DOF being confirmed.
"If" it comes to fruition I do believe Walsh would be an excellent appointment though. For once, I hope the wheels at Everton can turn a little faster than normal in this case.
Come on people, someone mention Graham Carr as a candidate.
