I get the impression that all the bad feeling is actually being caused by the PL and to a lesser extent Man City . Why did the PL not simply make a statement at the time . City could then have followed up with one of their own . End of problem. But rumours are running wild now and suspicions of something untoward happening are growing.

Quite a few of their squad and staff got a few positive test results back, do we honestly think the Premier League would have played that game when potentially the squad was riddled and putting our players at risk of infection as well??

I haven't followed this City thing since the match was called off. I knew that Jesus and Walker had tested positive, but do we know how many there were who tested positive later and caused the cancellation? And who they are?

It seems a reasonable question to ask if that's what's upsetting people at MC.

Looking at SSN today and City reported now that they tested everyone again despite there being no new positive cases

I will say the issue is that it very well appears there are legitimate reasons to be concerned about further spread during our match together and no tests could reveal for certain that the game could be played safely.

if everyone tests negative before the game then the risk is at a manageable level, it's only what we've all been doing for months No, there's something fishy here. the rule was if you've got 14 fit players, you can't just pull out. It is entirely reasonablre for Everton to say 'what the !!!!'' when presented with this fait accompli 4 hours before kick off.

I had a ticket for this game. Like others i spent my own time getting a test for this. I hate these tests, i make awful noises!!
I was supposed to be seated by 1830 which means good to go around 1715. My text from EFC is timed at 1621.
So its reasonable i might want to know why it was called off , why so late etc.? Everton cant answer that as they were not involved, hence the statement. It tells me they dont know and cant answer me and importantly why they cant. And five days later still no answer from PL. So it makes the statement more relevant to the supporters.
I am still none the wiser, but it seems 2+2 will soon make 4 from rumours.
Fwiw, I think not playing was better for us all round so a positive point.
Now we are in tier 3, my only chance to go the match this season might be gone. A negative point!

Well, if they had, no one would of realised that the PL has ignored us and not provided us with more information. Now it's in public, it's looking increasingly more dodgy by the day. I mean, if the PL had good reason, why not tell us? I also notice certain 'journalists' form certain 'papers' are attacking us. What is the PL hiding exactly?

As for City and your fanbase? The fact you've come out so strongly on the attack doesn't look good either. It also looks like you have something to hide. I've read your reasons for being offended, and I can't see it I'm afraid. And yes, I've tried taking my blue tinted specs off. To be honest, if this whole situation was between you and Liverpool, I'd be struggling to take your side even then.

You've been told constantly, by many posters, that our beef is with the PL and not City. I honestly don't understand why the City fans posting here, are trying to shoehorn some aggro in? But if the rumours about Walker are true, you and you're fanbase are not going to come out of it well.

I'm willing to bet @stony and @Cellardweller are going to wish they hadn't stuck their necks out soon, and will become very quiet.
