I had a test in September. Had symptoms I was negative.
4 days later felt worse . Another test . Positive.
Its a game of football that can be played again .
Don't understand the fume at all .

Could you please post the academy team you've stated they were going to play so we can all make an informed judgement on this?

West Ham had to play on with players out and their manager.

City must of had loads out to seek a postponement.

Sure, we will be healthier for the reschedule but we'd have been playing their academy tonight.

You then decided to list the team they had available.

You have no clue who was available, but as I said it's a fair assumption they must of had loads out to seek a postponement. If it was a handful of players we knew about like Jesus/Walker they would of had to play - like West Ham did with players out+manager.

I think, based on what I just heard, thats the exact issue. They got new results today, the outbreak was way bigger then the two players, and now, until new tests come back, they cant say who has it.

That said, I am confused why they have to wait a few days for results; thought we had a rapid test now. Maybe they do a different one. dunno.

Especially in light of a new strain which may/may not be more contagious I can understand them erring on the side of caution in what already looks like a outbreak hotspot.

You are absolutely correct it was Middlesborough , but in my defence the game that was awarded against them was against Blackburn Rovers !

Carlo didn't want this game so soon anyway. My guess is that we are more than happy with the postponement.

Which is why once you have one test in "the bubble" a game should be automatically postponed.

The Premier League hasn't done that, because money.
