Could be because we dont run the League mate?

Its the inconsistent approach that is confusing. Lots of teams have had covid incidents yet this is only the second club to be allowed a postponement. Surely they have some sort of threshold or scenario where a game can be called off.

I'm not saying its the wrong decision but its hardly been handled well. What if the game had been an afternoon match? The news only broke at half time in the Leicester match.

Hi, City supporter here in peace. I wish our game was on tonight and I'm far from alone. Despite what the home counties keyboard warriors may make accusations about City on other sites, this is exactly what it is. The pandemic has struck our club and it has shut our 1st team training facility down. Best wishes.

Hope the players get over this quickly and no one get seriously ill.

Which is why once you have one test in "the bubble" a game should be automatically postponed.

The Premier League hasn't done that, because money.

Bang on.

"Safety is the priority"
"Sound mate, yeah. How come you didn't say/think this before today when we knew they had confirmed cases in their team?"

Its the second in the Premier league.
But plenty in other leagues

You then decided to list the team they had available.

You have no clue who was available, but as I said it's a fair assumption they must of had loads out to seek a postponement.

I listed the players that had been reported fit in the week (Aguero) and the players that had been playing league games for them days ago.

I'm afraid that's not the same as stating all of those players would be out and we'd be playing their academy.

Frankly, if they indeed have "loads" out (to the extent you've assumed), I don't see a massive problem with a postponement and would want one if we were in the same position. It's daft the schedule was even as busy as it was in these circumstances.

Players who were in contact with Jesus and walker probably tested negative then.
But more cases have now emerged and they cannot be sure who is positive and who is not ?
The official statement says ‘a number of positive tests in addition to the 4 reported on Christmas Day.’ They’ve also closed the training ground. - It could mean more than our game being postponed, they’re due to play again on Sunday.
