Pre-season: Dynamo Dresden away!

I agree with Polish blue, Friday was better than Saturday. Better atmosphere etc... I don't know if fans were hungover ?

Bloody germans, ridiculous way to escort out. Dad almost collapsed having to walk back to the city centre from the ground. No real help from them either apart from" its X distance that way, knowing full well it was further.

Apart from the day ruiner, decent match to watch, we look dangerous without having a good finisher on the pitch. Great goal by Deulofeu, even better one by a much fitter Dresden. Needs to learn to be better in the box if he's going to be striker, causes so many problems but no end product after doing the hard work.

Fitness coach said they had a fresh team second half, so assumd they made a few changes I didnt notice while having to do a beer run.
We got jumped walking to the ground. Police blamed us.

Never mind the roidhead, bad tat, MMA wannabe Dresden Ultras - another blue and I went to see Dynamo Berlin this afternoon. Christ, they're pretty much all mental-looking. Like a Hells Angels chapter.

Great experience and we got absolutely no grief off them. They seemed to be extreme left wingers, and I'd guess 99.99999% had tattoos.

Bought a smart ultras t-shirt, too. Not sure they'll catch on back home lol

Yeah, they're a big bunch of skinheads. It's like you're waking up in 90's when you're there :D

Do you have any troubles with Dynamo supporters? They have a bad reputation, but I didn't see them in the city hunting for us.

I had a great time. Sat pretty much opposite our fans in home end and was with three mates. Thought the games were awful and didn't enjoy them at all, but their fans were great, especially the nice old man sat ahead of me and the woman to my side with her three kids. Soon as they found out I speak German they were chatting my head off for two hours, was superb. Didn't meet any Blues but saw plenty. Dresden is an amazing city, top weekend.

what can i say, absolutley superb few days away in dresden.

we stayed in a plush hotel in a square (newmarkt) about 15 minute walk from the ground.

met plenty of blues over there, and plenty of dresden fans who were happy to shake hands, not a hint of any trouble to be fair. very friendly atmosphere.

the fan park was great for atmosphere on the friday night just before the game, then onto the ground, very decent for a 2nd tier german side. created a good atmosphere in side, the noise coming out of the Everton fans was terrific, for the whole match friday night , non stop support and signing. best away ive experienced by far! being able to have a drink in the stands was spot on, and it didnt cause any bother at all.

i have to say the service was excellent from the germans in the ground, there must of been 15 staff serving the blues fans, i cant help but think if it were a pre season friendly at goodison, we probly would have had 2 staff on!! i would hate to try and guess the amount of ale that got drunk on the friday night alone!!!

the saturday game was obv going to be a quieter affair after fridays antics! even so, it was still a cracking atmosphere between the blues in the ground with plenty of banter as usual!

the heat was a killer, it was VERY VERY humid and sweaty, would of been hard playing football at 80-100% thats for sure.

gotta give a huge shout out to any blues who travelled on the coach!! 24 hours each way i was told, thats one hell of a road trip! fair play to anyone that did that!

all in all i was very impressed with Dresden, the football club and the city in general. would definatly go there again.

roll on the next Everton europe away. hopefully wont have to wait that long fingers crossed

ps: one player stood out for me during the games and i expect to see alot of him this season ... TOM DAVIES. the lad is going to be a great asset for us.

A mob of them fronted 3 of my mates in their hotel foyer.

Get outside and fight. 25 v 25.

There's 3 of us.

Ok. 5 versus 5.

Erm there's still only 3 of us.

Ok we'll come back tomorrow at 12 o'clock.

They didn't. :coffee:
