Some people have been at work continuously throughout the lockdown. This isnt an argument unless you say people with certain jobs dont warrant the protection that others do.

I don't deny some people have been at work continuously throughout the lockdown, but the point is it's easier in most jobs to stick to social distancing etc than it is on a footy pitch.

Obviosly supermarket workers come into contact with way more people than footballers do. My annoyance is with the growing number of people who seem to want life to stay on hold, or are using that stance to raise their public profile anyway, until theres a vaccine which seems like a very unlikely proposition. At some point people will have to drop this constant fear thing and have a go at life again.

Yeah obviously life can't stand still so I agree with you there, but with supermarket workers at least safety measures can be implemented. As Deeney says though, how can you implement safety from a corner when you could have 18 players in the penalty box. By the way, I am missing the footy big style.

Testing testing testing.

Without it, theres no hope for the restart.

If all players are regularly tested - and that means i'd say at least 3 times a week, ideally more, then it should be a safe environment. Safer than working at the asda, yes but as mentioned, physical contact in football is necessary. Thats the difference between an Asda worker and a footballer in terms of this - they can socially distance (although i realise realistically it doesnt happen all the time.) whereas footballers cant. Asda workers wont be tested though, If 22 men are all tested and negative, there is obviously no danger of the virus being spread or need to socially distance while on the pitch.

Without testing it all falls apart obviously.

Thing is, I haven't been nipping to Richarlison's house to grab stuff to keep me alive the last few weeks while he puts himself at risk to make sure I can do that. Footballers should be bottom of the list for testing.

Because it's only fair that these footballers get tested 3 times a week while us normal people can't even get one...

I agree its not, all sorts of famous people are when the rest of us cant. Look at Piers Morgan. Off sick and got a test straight away. Wouldnt happen for anyone else.

Key workers can now get tested and I'd imagine footballers will fall under a similar bracket to Morgan.I hear the clubs have bought up testing machines and kits.

I agree its not fair.
