That has nothing in common with what I posted. Here is what I posted.

I work in a hospital as far back as week 19 which is the week ending May 8th the number of deaths in hospitals was 114 fewer than the seasonal average. So more than 5 weeks ago we had fewer deaths in hospitals than the seasonal average.

Here is the statistic from the ons that to back up what I posted.


In Week 19, the number of deaths in hospitals was 114 deaths lower than the five-year average for the same week, while the number of deaths above the five-year average in care homes decreased to 2,247 deaths from 4,331 in the previous week.

2) Belgium has more people dead than the UK

Again barefaced lies from you.

I quite clearly stated that Belgium had a higher death rate per head than the UK. I even gave you the comparative number per 1m population. I will give you the numbers again UK 615 per 1m Belgium 834 per 1m. Given those numbers you would have to be a complete idiot to state that Belgium had a lower death rate.

Unfortunately we have MR Disinformation Catcher rhymes with Thatcher who stupidly stated that Belgium had a lower death rate.

3) BAME are not affected by this (so therefore the abuse sent to BAME footballers by Liverpool fans is fine)

Again complete and utter lies. I have stated over and over again that the higher death rate amongst BAME individuals is about deprivation and exposure. As for the other nonsense about me defending abuse sent to BAME footballers. Please provide one scrap of evidence for that disgusting allegation.

4) The government are telling the truth

Finally, something we agree on. Unfortunately the fact that you are a serial liar and fantasist means you are hardly the person to comment on truthfulness.

5) If you are tested you can't catch it

I think the average 5 year would be able to work this out. It isn't about the person who is tested catching it. The whole point of testing is so you can quarantine those who test positive. That means they cannot pass the virus on. A perfect example is the Norwich player who tested positive. He was clearly asymptomatic because he felt well enough to play. If he hadn't been tested then he could have been walking past you in the street, could have been handing his card to someone in a supermarket or petrol station. Testing means he is self-isolating until he tests negative.

He can now donate blood plasma to help people struck down with the virus and his sample will add data that will enable us to better understand the virus.

6) You can't catch it through bodily fluids

Again absolutely no correlation to what I posted.

COVID-19 is an upper respiratory infection. It isn't spread by sweat.

The reason loved ones are not allowed to be with their partners and loved ones is because people dying in hospital end up in ICU.

I actually did some research with the Oxford vaccine group in 2016. We looked at whether it was safe to give the intranasal flu vaccine to egg allergic children (it was called the SNIFFLE 2 trial if you really want to send yourself to sleep with the published results).

Anyway, if anyone is going to come up with a vaccine by September it will be them; they are the absolute elite when it comes to vaccines. However, even if they come up with a functional vaccine by September it will take many months to get it rolled out.


Ps. The study showed it is very safe to give the intranasal flu vaccine to egg allergic children. Vaccinate your children everyone!

Pps. The next trial I was going to do with them involved nebulising llama antibodies into babies with bronchiolitis. Think about that, if these lads can get you a bunch of llama antibodies at short notice, they can probably knock up a vaccine in no time. (I'd moved back up north by the time they were doing the trial)

AstraZeneca has reached an agreement with Europe’s Inclusive Vaccines Alliance (IVA), spearheaded by Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands, to supply up to 400 million doses of the University of Oxford’s COVID-19 vaccine, with deliveries starting by the end of 2020.


With today’s agreement, the IVA aims to accelerate the supply of the vaccine and to make it available to other European countries that wish to participate in the initiative. The IVA is committed to providing equitable access to all participating countries across Europe.


AstraZeneca continues to build a number of supply chains in parallel across the world, including for Europe. The Company is seeking to expand manufacturing capacity further and is open to collaborating with other companies in order to meet its commitment to support access to the vaccine at no profit during the pandemic.


Pascal Soriot, Chief Executive Officer, said: “This agreement will ensure that hundreds of millions of Europeans have access to Oxford University’s vaccine following approval. With our European supply chain due to begin production soon, we hope to make the vaccine available widely and rapidly. I would like to thank the governments of Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands for their commitment and swift response.”


The Company has recently completed similar agreements with the UK, US, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations and Gavi the Vaccine Alliance for 700 million doses, and it agreed a licence with the Serum Institute of India for the supply of an additional one billion doses, principally for low- and middle-income countries. Total manufacturing capacity currently stands at two billion doses.


Oxford University last month announced the start of a Phase II/III UK trial of AZD1222 in about 10,000 adult volunteers. Other late-stage trials are due to begin in a number of countries. AstraZeneca recognises that the vaccine may not work but is committed to progressing the clinical programme with speed and scaling up manufacturing at risk.



I think the key bits are deliveries beginning by the end of 2020 and the fact that they recognise that the vaccine may not work.

I’ve read that the fastest ever vaccine was four years. Also wouldn’t trust the Tories to distribute it properly. Probably get some dodgy private company to to administer it who’ll mess up and lose all the supplies.

That fastest vaccine was Polio in the 60s. We haven't tried to rush one to market since. I would imagine advances in science and technology can dramatically improve on that.

I'll be honest I didn't bother read past point 1. You didn't put your original post on there, you put a later post where you tried to weasel away from the statement and make it about hospital deaths.

As I've already said, most of my statements about Liverpool are really an attempt to say the most extreme thing I can think of in terms of what could happen to them. I do think most Evertonians, who are adults as you say can see it's all slightly tongue in cheek. You seem to be completely obsessed with them and unable to move beyond them. The real irony, is because we have a deluded fanbase of LFC that is more out of touch than a guy who's looking to post the most ridiculous things he can think of, and a wholly uncritical media towards them, my predictions are strangely accurate. The conclusion in that is not to obsess over me either, it's to look at the other 2 cultural agencies in this discussion and keep asking how they get it so wrong.

Either way, what I don't do when challenged is start moving the goalposts are start claiming I said something different. There is no credibility in doing that. Making a statement, that is wholly inaccurate and when challenged on it multiple times ignoring it by waffling on about more nonsense, to eventually then try to claim it was something wholly different. That behaviour to my mind is worse than the ridiculous inaccuracies you have posted throughout this thread.

Anyway I won't be replying point by point. All the evidence is available (assuming you haven't gone back and re-edited) and people can draw their own conclusions. It's very clear, to the objective onlookers on the board who is making coherent points, and who is desperately reaching, sometimes days later to make 2+2=5. You and I both know it too, and I don't really need to make it particularly explicit.
