the sensible thing will be to pretend they were due to play each other first week so all the other 18 teams can play on the first weekend

.... i bet we'll end up with just 16 playing on the first weekend, and we'll be one of them.

This is actually a really good point. Why can't they / won't they do this?

Not sure where to put this but

What’s interesting in that as far as Everton are concerned was that this guy spent the entire closed season on holiday with Lo Celso, Lamela, Dier, Sanchez and Gazzanigga of Spurs so one would expect that those players also stand a fair chance of contracting it and having to isolate for 2 weeks meaning they miss 2 weeks of a very short pre season.

what’s everyone’s thoughts on what’s fair etc. regarding teams missing players due to Covid? Suck it up and get on with it or have a threshold in place to postpone a game?

Interesting point RE Spurs, as for the games, i dunno, i think if one player is out then they should still play but the problem is he might of already passed it on, i dunno, its a hard one. I think safty has to come first, more then potential loss of points in a game, the penalty for players who dont behave should be BIG

Gotta suck it up.
I saw a report earlier about Scotland having their highest amount of cases in 3 months, hopefully it's just a blip and not something that's also gonna happen elsewhere.

If your players are stupid enough to go around licking loose women then you must pay the price.

Of course not every player who gets it will have been stupid, but no Premier League player has any excuse not to be taking every possible precaution.

So suck it up.

I'm pretty sure there is a threshold set in stone, which is 4 squad members to the best of my knowledge.

Orient having a number of players proving positive, having to let their last three opponents aware and the game against Spurs tomorrow possibly being called off and as the rate of infection is again getting higher, this isn't a good sign for this season.

No, and because we had the summer circus, we run the risk of jeapardising this season as well with the late start. Completely stupid.
