Proposed changes to the Premier league

They clearly think that all the other clubs in the room (so to speak) are stupid enough to be attracted to this ridiculous fantasy!

They think the likes of Everton will go for it because we have slightly more special status than the lower clubs but nowhere near as much power as this arbitrary ‘big six’.

They also think this offer to save the smaller clubs gives them leverage for such a disgusting proposal, acting like they would be the saviours of English football when they’d be the exact opposite.

It’s very easy to show this proposal up for exactly what it is?

Do we have your agreement to bail out the smaller clubs without your demands being met?

If not, your lack of benevolence is clear for all to see, and what’s left is a disgusting attempt of opportunitism, in which you wish to use the devastation of a worldwide pandemic to take complete and utter control of English football.

You’d hope to God that most clubs would be wise to this, and duly tell them to stick their little daydream right up their arse!

I actually think there's quite an irony in it all, that what the Premier Legaue have been trying to do to the Football League and the minorities for years, is now happening to them. Wonder if it will be food for thought?

Everton being included in a "power 9", is nothing but a false gesture, as ultimately, once we agree with them, they can Veto us at the first opportunity. So for sides like Burnley, Brighton are going to agree to a rule where they all get shafted, and they receive less. Whether your intention is to compete for the title, europe or even just stay up, each of the 20 sides in the league have earnt their right to be in the league, so why should their opinion be any less to others?

It's not the first time they've proposed changes like this, and i think inevitably they'll get some compromise, but Premier League have intervened, and I'm just glad they've criticised that Rick Parry, because what a tosser that fella is.

The big question is what style font Rick Parry will have his Fenway Sports Group business cards printed with if this goes through.

Crap idea, the rich stay rich fk the rest.
In my lifetime I have seen man city, united , chelsea not in the top division
The RS and Chelsea in bankruptcy in all but name.
And they want to hold away because they are currently in a good place.
Give it a few years the likes of Us or Villa could be as big as most of the top six with a few years in Europe and a bit of silverware.

Not a fan of the proposals. There is too many details that needs to be thought through. I want to know what the aim of all the proposals are. I think they need to look at salary caps for players because this is what is crippling football clubs and leading to big season ticket prices.

The football league does need help, but it should only get it once they agree to reforms so that they have a sustainable business model preventing teams ending up in administration.

I don't see how the football league is served by reducing the size of the premier league or how it's helped by removal of the league cup either.
