Proposed changes to the Premier league

As long as all the other clubs in the league remain wise to the fact it’s a really disgusting attempt at a power grab, then it will remain nothing but BS kopite fantasy!

If the EFL needs the bail out, then go ahead and give it them, but why does it have to be conditional on your massive power grab?

Does the bail out suddenly become a no-go if your demands for a massive power grab are not met?

It’s laughable!

The other clubs in the league aren’t going to vote for a system that allows Liverpool FC to become the owners of the Premier League.

I know we all laughed at Newcastle and their failed takeover but if it had have been Liverpool or Man Utd the Saudis wanted to take over, there wouldn’t have been any issues.

Well and truly shafted to protect the cartel.

I can't see a club like Burnley, or one of the smaller teams if they arise again like a Bournemouth who need the money, will agree, having witnessed a year ago the same efforts.

Well, you'd like to think they wouldn't.

Longer pre season is obviously just so they can play more exabition games to coin it in from foreign customers, also scrapping the league cup and community shield is just so they can squeeze the extra European games in, if they don't like the traditional English game that's been around for generations then please leave and they can start their own European super League that they've wanted for years and let football here be competitive again

They clearly think that all the other clubs in the room (so to speak) are stupid enough to be attracted to this ridiculous fantasy!

They think the likes of Everton will go for it because we have slightly more special status than the lower clubs but nowhere near as much power as this arbitrary ‘big six’.

They also think this offer to save the smaller clubs gives them leverage for such a disgusting proposal, acting like they would be the saviours of English football when they’d be the exact opposite.

It’s very easy to show this proposal up for exactly what it is?

Do we have your agreement to bail out the smaller clubs without your demands being met?

If not, your lack of benevolence is clear for all to see, and what’s left is a disgusting attempt of opportunitism, in which you wish to use the devastation of a worldwide pandemic to take complete and utter control of English football.

You’d hope to God that most clubs would be wise to this, and duly tell them to stick their little daydream right up their arse!

So they can vote no to new owner taking over a different club?
That was the worst part of it all. Such a blatant and disgusting power grab. They pretend that this is an altruistic gift to the lower leagues but simultaneously deny the right for other PL teams to determine their own futures. It’s sickening. Such a blatant power grab, for all the sensible proposals (and there are a few), it is undermined by downright sinister power plays from the 2 classless clubs in the country

Any proposal made to send money to drowning clubs in the wake of the pandemic will in the long run screw those clubs. The rich teams never give away money without a long term plan to cash in. Though this is the perfect time to try this since some will vote for it just to survive and worry about the rest later.

The section on the selected clubs preventing other clubs from a potential change of ownership is where this preposterous idea needs to be binned instantly. What next? A vote on what’s clubs are allowed to build a new stadium? A vote on how much clubs are allowed to spend? A vote on who officiates games and control over matchday fixtures? How much shares a certain club should get from TV rights?

I read the first paragraph and saw it was about finances and stopped. Both of these clubs are millions in debt, they've been happy to spend well beyond their means for decades and now the covid has hit, they are the two who are losing the most money.

So screw them, they would never have suggested this if they hadn't have been hit so hard by covid. Especially not furlough fc paying their stars 300k a week but not caring about their worst paid staff.

Jeez, were they proposing to scrap them? Horrific idea.

Newly crowned European Champions , World Club Champions & Prem Champions elect as they were in April.
To all the staff.
Thanks for your services but as from Monday you are furloughed.

That one action alone told me everything I needed to know about messrs Henry & Werner.

Furlough their staff but now all of a sudden want to help the EFL out with a cash injection lol Tory FC in all it’s glory.
