Protests against the board

Needs some imaginative thinking imo. The pre-game protests have run their course and ideally some new ways to display our views are needed.
Wish I was more creative, then I could suggest some other ways!

There is only one way of protesting that would work - by people not turning up to games. But for unknown some reason, that’s off the table apparently.

Are you going to stay away then? If so you could lead a campaign calling for pledges on their honour from others not to go again. You might get a big response which the Red Echo would be delighted to headline.

The season ends and the Summer break begins:
"Don't protest, let's see what transfers we do first. Give them a chance"

The season starts, Everton haven't strengthened:
"We can't protest yet, the window isn't closed and it's a fresh season, get behind the players"

Everton slump to the bottom of the table. Fans turn against the current manager, blaming him for not getting a tune out of a poor squad (and completely ignoring that largely, the same group of players have walked around, uninterested under every Everton manager):
"It's the manager causing this! Get him out!!!"

Evertonians continue to blame the manager and the selected few players they all hate, ignoring the other players barely turning up:
"Sack the manager and back the new one in the transfer window, we can't protest or a manager/players won't come to us"

A new manager arrives, players don't, but fans cling on until the end of the window, desperately clinging to some positivity:
"Give the new manager a chance, we've already seen an improvement in the training video, interviews. We can't protest now!"

April arrives and Everton are fighting relegation, whilst many fans are still clinging onto hope, fan groups and those with sense, have started protesting, they know it's too late, but what else can they do? A civil war begins again:
"What good will that do ey!? Get behind the team or we'll end up going down"

The majority of fans begin to wake up and realise, the board have once again refused to back the team, refused to communicate and the club is falling apart. The majority of fans protest and demand change in the Summer. Everton fight to stay in the league, players finally showing up and breaking a sweat. But this time it's too late....
"Things will be different this Summer"

I'm not for one second condoning racism, and anyone abusing DCL or Onana are absolute scum
Unfortunately tho, I think the club might be weaponizing these incidents.
There seems to be an eagerness on the clubs part to highlight inappropriate behaviour.
I know I'm on dodgy ground and the club have to act against vile racism.
But I cant help shake the feeling that it's being used as a distraction or, even worse, as part of a broader campaign to discredit the general fan base.
It has a feeling of 'look what we have to contend with, thats why we don't go'.

There's never going to be a "'right time" to do this. It will be the wrong time now because the season is still new and we could turn things around. Then it'll be the wrong time later this season because we'll be in a relegation battle. Then next season it'll still be the wrong time regardless of the division we're in because we'll be told how much positivity and unity is needed. Same old crap. Put off, put off, put off. Always kicking the can down the road and waiting for things to happen, while shaming anyone who tries to make a difference, because not caring and being a passive coward is cool in 2023. Some of our fans are as culpable for this situation as anyone.
Right time is to do this in August, wrong time is April.

The atmospheres through the winter and spring when Dyche took over were really good, with the protests before the game, but then not continuing into the games. I think we need to get back to something like that. The team is the team and we need to accept that ans support them, and have patience during matches (by all means moan at full time if it's a Villa type performance). The focus of the frustration should be the owner and chairman

Support the team
Oppose the regime

The club certainly have to act because it's awful, but I take your point, Kenwright is probably delighted with the distraction etc

What will that achieve? Further financially crippling the team will solve nothing.
Most of the seats are Season ticket holders so the club have the money already
The worst part of that idea is that people have paid already so it is unfair on them alone.
It would send a message but would only hurt the club in a PR sense at the expense of the fans

Unfortunately, this will get us nowhere...it has not worked in the past, it won't work now and it won't work in the future.

Boycott the games; it's the only way people will sit up and take notice, but nobody is interested.

I'm sure they will go to the matches next season in the Championship as well.

The time for action is now, not when we are in December, 20th and 5/10 with the bookmakers to go down.

Well I remember taking loads of abuse for protesting in Dec years ago by happy clappers so I'm really not sure anymore if August is the right time either. We'd only get accused of ruining the season before its even started if we'd been protesting before the Fulham game.

A protest that is not supported by the vast majority is not practical. A boycott would be very effective, but its not going to get widespread support, so its not a realistic option. It would just create division between supporters and we dont want or need that.

I get you, and you might be onto something regarding a distract/deflect but in the other hand if the club doesn't come out in support of the player in condemning the bahaviour it looks really bad.

Ideally, the clown messaging filth at Onana gets a lifetime ban Everton matches.

It should be the standard punishment.
