Having one makes sense.

Employing one whose personal philosophy is 'Take the unwanted chaff from the clubs better than us, that'll help us overtake them' does not make sense though.

I don't have a problem with the DoF model, but your DoF needs to be competent and also needs to be left to do his job. Ours isn't competent and our owner loves overruling him even if he was.

I was anticipating that he would play a 4-2-3-1 but it seems at first glance that 4-4-2 is his preferred model.

If that is the case, it makes it a bit harder for James, as I don't expect Rafael will want him at RM, and I can't see him starting James next to DCL when Richarlison is back.

The 4-2-3-1 seems to fit what we have better

I've tried to get all on the positive mindset bandwagon but when the driver is a kopite with a recent record that reads "meh" I fear we are heading to below mediocrity with a brief stop to pick us a tragic right back if one at all .

I imagine it'll be 4231 but the worry is the club are unable to back him adeadequately this window.

Maybe we'll get a suprise and they are taking their time to get lower prices but unless we bring in a RB, RW & CM I fear its 9th-11th for us this season.

Carlo ancelotti managing Everton was a lovely idea and a lovely dream but in reality it was quite a horrific experience and he left because he's a slimy rat who couldn't hack the job he set out to do and got extremely lucky Jose turned Madrid down and fled back there
