My big worry Is that without us all rowing in the same direction the job is so much harder, I include myself in this , but the controversial nature of the appointment just seems to add pressure which feels like the last thing we need .
I can see what you’re saying and why a manager with a reputation like this fella for being no nonsense could appeal . I just worry as much as anything because of who he is , he could be hamstrung before he starts .

I don’t think he will be too concerned. He’s on a great salary and If he fails then the message will be the fans are at fault, what do they want? They never give him a chance etc . It will be post Allardyce sacking on repeat.

I in no way support the appointment of Benitez, however, he's won MUCH more than Poch who's trophy cabinet is very modest.

I don’t take too much notice of ore-season anyway, but it’s a bit worrying that Kean can’t raise a smile when he’s starting. God knows how miserable he’ll be when DCL comes back.

everton is a poor side, i would bet my house against em if they were to play the colombian league, clearly they wouldnt win it at all... most ppl from england love to think they have the best teams and players.. well youve got money to BRING said players to play for english teams, your standar english player was mediocre at best, having until now recently , some kind of sucess (euro).
having said that.. only a few everton players would be starters in top colombian teams (millonarios is not 1 of those, despite having finish 2nd last tournament) ... once again , everton brings mediocre players , not too far from top colombian teams, as it was clear from the everton vs millos game (with only 2 games played in the colombian league, so the fitness thing dont cover the horrible ball game displayed by everton).
get down from your high horse, be humble. yes theres quality in EPL , but is severely concentrated in what ...5 teams (or those big six), after those... let the devil choose, the suckiness begin to be the norm, and every team is somewhat equal.
