Guess what? I think that nobhead Moshiri has finally made a good managerial appointment.
@davek; Don't be alarmed, but I think you're GOT account has been hacked.Guess what? I think that nobhead Moshiri has finally made a good managerial appointment.
We've dominated our two games in the league on chances and shots. One of them an impressive away result against a side that finished above us last season with home fans back for first time. In an era where home advantage has been massive. We are 7th.
Also picked a reserve team of our lion heart crabs. Won the game with 10 men. Away.
Seen nothing? Or biased.
Dont give up hope, we might get beat by Brighton for youHow do you dominate a team with only 30 % possession?
We were distinctly average last night and only got away with it due to the,m neimg slightly worse on the night
I dont see Keane getting too many more chances. He's been more than fair with him already. For once he put sentiment aside and did the right thing.
I get the whole ex Liverpool a manger thing bothers some people but this bloke couldn’t be any more of a professional to hire if he wanted to be. He’s worked at Chelsea, Madrid after being at Valencia, Napoli after being at Inter, and has wanted to join us multiple times. He clearly doesn’t give one about previously managing Liverpool or what any of their fans think. He’s trashed his legacy there and couldn’t be any less arsed about it. Meanwhile you’ve got the likes of Gerrard bragging about how he’d never manage us. That’s the difference between a dye in the wool butter kopite, and some decent football manager who once happened to manage them.
He was the best available at the time with prem experience and the right profile to whip a horrendous squad into shape. On paper it was the right choice for Moshiri despite the unpopularity. It’s only three games in but signs are looking positive so far.
He just needs to be wary of putting too much trust in Keane Coleman Davies Gomes or Siggurdson moving forward. That lot will have any manager under the bus if he gives them an inch. Hopefully Keane playing mid week means he’s not at the weekend and Benitez has seen through him also.

Use of that possession. We dominated possession under Marinez and where absolutely cack. How do you dominate a team with only 30 % possession?

It was a good result but they also rested a load didn’t they ? If you watched the game fantastic feels a stretch , winning with ten men especially with what felt a harsh decision Is always a massive positive .Use of that possession. We dominated possession under Marinez and where absolutely cack.
We had a reserve team out that don't ever play with each other last night with ten men and won. That was fantastic. Some job by the manager. And now we have fresh players for Brighton. The only reason to try have a problem with that is if there's a third party equation that suits it.
We may very well lose, but at least there will be some attacking intent and effort which we saw precious little of last season.I am sure we will, they are managed by the superb manager that is Potter
100%. We have won two and drawn one. Posiitve! We have wingers now and a bit of pace. Positive! We still have a largely static and unimaginative midfield. Negative! We are playing a brand of fast paced counter-attacking football where possessions stats are the be all and end all. Positive (for me anyway)! We have only played sides we should truly be confident of beating, the one side anywhere near our standard snatched a draw from us. Negative! If we were to carry on with this line of thinking we could see we have had a decent start, and that the football has been at times grim, at times very exciting. So all in all, its OK. nobody should really be suggesting anything more at the moment, nor showld we until at least mid-point in the season. Lest give the manager and the players that long at least before we decide if they are trash or the second coming? This thread has descended into the ridiculous.
Some posters are genuinely excited by his appointment. That's fine.
Some posters are genuinely unhappy by his appointment. That's also fine.
There are also more than a few posters (from both sides of the debate) who are just out and out WUM's. Presumably they find it funny to wind up fellow blues.
Exaggerated praise of the manager and exaggerated negativity about the manager are equally divisive and most of all incredibly boring.
