If fans can’t name a single person who would be able to take us over now under those conditions I referenced then why do you think the board would do any better? How many premier league clubs ever hire anyone no one has heard of? I think Wolves this season was genuinely the first time a manager was hired and I had no clue who he was. Most managers we’ve all heard of and whenever Everton are looking for a manager a shortlist is normally drawn up pretty quickly by fans that tend to be pretty accurate.

If fans therefore can’t even name one single potential replacement then it shows it’s a very narrow market at the moment and the risk premium on getting someone (e.g they may have only managed in the championship, they may not speak English, they may not have experienced a turnaround job like the one required here) may be too much for the board to accept removing Benitez for.
Nuno and Eddie Howe would be the main contenders. I don't think our board has the nous to appoint a Bruno Lage type manager.

We can keep changing manager until we get the right one. That's how football is these days.

And you have definitively worked out after 10 games, £1.7m budget and a squad of largely midtable players with most of the better ones out injured that this isn't the right manager?

You used to be a sensible poster mate but now you just wet your knickers shouting at the clouds.

We have a difference of opinion. I've been very consistent in my views on this manager and the ludicrous decision to appoint him. I will never support something that I am certain in my own mind will never work.

You never gave any manager time now want everyone to get behind Benitez. Or Dyche. I'm not sure which one you are supporting these days!

When I criticise the manager it does not mean I support the players. I'm not defending the club at any level, board, DOF, players or manager. But the other issues cannot be fix until we move on from such a divisive manager with outdated tactics. Changing the manager needs to be step 1 of a complete overhaul of the club.

Its perfectly fine having an opinion but any supporter who wants a manager sacked after a pre season friendly defeat or after 10 games with an injury crisis and no money to spend shouldn't be taken seriously and largely wont be by the board thankfully.

We need calm heads not the lunatic fringes on social media threatening to destabilise the club even further than it currently is.

I'm not a lunatic fringe. I'm not trying to destabalise the club. We didn't lose 3 pre season friendlies in a row. We didn't go one win in 7 pre season friendlies. These are real competitive matches. We have 4 injuries, not a crisis. It's a factor but not an excuse for 1 win in 7.

The only thing destabalising the club right now is the insistence by the board to impose a hugely unpopular manager onto the fans and it is humiliating watching this side play. If you think the board have this under control then I think you are mistaken.

We all know how this ends. The outcome is inevitable. Put an end to it before it gets much worse. A lot of people are going to look very silly when the inevitable and predictable happens.

Did you want Moyes sacked in the seasons where he started much worse than this?
So we agree that he’s currently failing. At least that’s a starting point. As for Moyes, he banked credit for his first full season in charge, and the CL a couple of years later.

You can’t just rock up and not establish your credentials early doors.

It's not fans jobs to select a manager though. Its not fans fault that the nkard went with a highly divisive manager, knowing full well what would happen. I had no idea who moyes was when we got him and he is the most successful manager in terms of positions etc we have had in my memory (I don't remember the cup win in 1995 as I was only 4).
