I never demanded him sacked thats fake news mate.

I repeatedly said I wasnt fussed if he was given this season or not as it would have been two full seasons for us to decide either way.

This was my post 4th May 2021:

"The worry for me is Brands staying on - something had to have changed ahead of this summer for me to have any faith in the winds of change blowing through GP's doors.

I've criticised Carlo at times mainly his constant tinkering with the team but im under no illusion that we have a large number of one paced cowards in the squad who haven't any fight or ambition in them.

The problem is we are slowly getting rid of the Walsh crap but Brands has been shovelling more of his own into the squad - sicknotes in Delph and Gbamin will be lucky to play 5 games between them next season, Benard, Iwobi, Gomes.

There is just no direction at the top of the club, Moshiri's biggest mistake was not punting Kenwright from the start and appointing someone like Dein who knows how to run a successful club.

You had Kenwright doing the contract extension with Brands - yet apparently the bloke is a token figurehead these days with little to no influence??"


Sounds eerily familiar doesnt it?

I am almost certain that when the Arabs took over Newcastle Eddie Howe was not on the wish list of most geordies.

Then but not now since nobody else is interested, clubs can have money but they dont automatically have status to go with it, some jobs are just not attractive, Newcastle is one example, Everton is another.
If Newcastle do take Howe Rafs jobis safer since he was the only realistic option we could of gone for to replace him.

But it didnt, if anything you showed that our job is very undersirable so we have to pay over the odds to get anyone.

Who else was there though? Nuno, Moyes (who we should have in hindsight got) Dunc. I wouldn’t have wanted a conte even though there was no chance getting him anyway, or so we think he’s gone to Spurs now, not for Spurs but for a big pay cheque untill a better job turns up, just like Carlo did to us.

God knows why you think benitez and howe are the only two realistic options.

Because they are, the very presence of Bentitez shows this, if we had realistic options that are better where were they in the summer? Not once has anyone been able to give a realistic name that is better, not once.
