Well, if anything, he might at least break one record. Our longest home losing streak in the premier league. Currently stands at 3.

We are on 2 right now. With spurs, Liverpool, arsenal and Leicester next.

Wonder what our longest premier league losing streak is.

Really hope he turns it round and gets something from any of these games. He simply has to.

This crop of players are pathetic, and the fans know it. Whoever the manager is will struggle to get any consistent tune out of them.

But Benitez was never, ever going to be given the couple of years that it's going to take to turn this squad around.

It was the most pig-ignorant appointment possible. Absolutely stupid on every conceivable level.

Not a chance he's still here at Christmas
He will get the season IMO. And I expect him to get next season. Any new manager will be in exactly the same boat. And who replaces him?

Benitez was and is a divisive appointment but there needs to come a point where we sack a manager and somebody above him resigns at the same time.

For years we have had manager after manager who have got it completely wrong. We haven’t had a manager since Moyes that has gone on to do anything of note after leaving Everton and it took Moyes an age to find a job that fitted his particular skills.

Someone inside the club with seniority needs to either give Benitez two years (minimum) and complete authority to get rid of anyone he chooses or they need to get rid of Benitez now and find someone they will place that level of trust in.

I am sick of us being back in the same situation every 18 months and even if it is Benitez, I want some stability. What we have done in the past has clearly not worked and Benitez has inherited that disaster of a squad.

Absolutely agree but as they say [Poor language removed] rolls down hill and it’s easier to just sack the manager than hold people like Brands accountable for how things have gone over the past few years.

Truthfully he needs at least the January transfer window to try and move on some more deadwood and bring some players in.

Rafas teams are notorious for improving massively in the 2nd half of the season.

We have a difficult run coming up, but if we're still around mid table, he should be more than fine.

He wont getbthe 2nd half of the season if we fall much further IMO. And to be honest, that would be fair. Its not been good enough so far, and we simply have to win the derby.
