TBF the one bit of that interview I liked the most was where he talked about the mentality being the most important thing, how we've got to massively improve on that front. If we really have learnt our lesson there, and we should have after hundreds of millions wasted, then we can start to do better than we have been.

I just wish he'd apply that to the wider squad - if the same players do what they've done repeatedly to the past three / four managers then they should not play. If Rondon plays like he has, he shouldn't play. There are even in our parlous state alternatives in the squad, even if they are untried / youths.

well 2005 started on 1 jan 2005, so, you know, I just listed the trophies since then. Bit unfair to insist on starting the list just after his biggest ever win, no?

What's weird is Everton fans worshiped Carlo who was a disgraceful Everton manger, but won stuff for other clubs, and they ignored what he did (or rather didn't) for us but loved him becuase he won stuff elsewhere.
Likewise Rafael has a top CV but becuase a joke of a Newcastle got relegated while he was there they focus on that, it's weird.

Best manager to manage Everton since Kendall, trophy-wise, Ancelotti aside.

But yeah, Moyes is better.

We need stability. Koeman was always a poor choice, Sam was Sam, Silva was unknown really and Ancelotti was not a man to build a squad.

Benitez has built squads and has won trophies on a budget. He needs time.
