A lot longer than that! I was reading the statto book on Everton recently and the number of years we had a good start then proceeded to lose 5 or 6 in a row is amazing. It seems we have always been somewhat up and down for over a hundred years. The exceptions being the years we won the league.

Is correct. Can't remember exactly what seasons they were but towards the end of Moyes stewardship, crap upto the Xmas period then almost unbeatable the rest of the season. Then the following season we were motoring until new year and collapsed spectacularly. Oh that we could have had that year rolled into the one season!

Moyes bought himself time with his excellent first full season followed by a Champions League place a few seasons later.

The waiter has done nothing other than be a kopite scumbag. There’s no credit in the bank for him.

Credit? Yes 4th place was special because of the poor quality league but that champion league playoff season was a sackable offence

It was the false hope he brought that done my head in. How can you be in relegation form for part of the season and then Top 4 form. This was standard for Moyes teams. We would finish a season on fire that would give us hope for the next season then start badly. Think it was when the pressure was on him and the players couldn't handle it but when we couldn't win anything the pressure was off and that produced good form........I just don't know. He deffo had Jeckyl and Hyde teams.
The point is though he had time and plenty of it to do as he wished
