Yeah, I'm sure that's how new managers are judged everywhere - by haviong 4 months with another series of managers midden of a team.

You have never ever given any Everton manager - other than that sloppy gobbed Italian fraud Ancelotti - your support.

This is just another name for you to try and undermine.

How about being constructive for one?
If he had never given it before why should he be extending the benefit of the doubt to an ex-kopite dinosaur who has us looking at the relegation zone 12 matches in.

It was Benitez' job to win the hearts and minds dave and he's cocked it right up.

You lot can keep pleading for people to change their mind and offer him up the blind faith you all are putting into him but it is never going to happen. He has to show us the goods and he hasn't. A few wins against lower league opposition at the start of the season isn't enough.

Well I for one out 'that lot' am done with making appeals for You Lot to get behind the team whatever manager they have.

Your hatred for the man is beyond any reach. It's visceral and rabid.

My opinion of Benitez hasn't altered so far, not even slightly. I haven't seen a single positive thing from him so far that an Allardyce wouldn't of been able to deliver just as (if not more) effectively.
in fairness to Gravy Norks, he was allowed to splash 50m on two players and didn't have to play 80% of his games missing the entire spine of his team but he did have Cuco Martinez so it balances out.

Mass panic attacks breaking out in here. Yes, we just got battered by the best team in the league, who also scored two goals of the season in the same match, while missing two of our best players and losing a third during the game.

Relax, chill out, have a beer and give the man a chance……

let's face it, he's a stop gap and a hugely unpopular one at that. he would've needed to have pulled a rabbit out of a hat if he was going to get the fans on board. i personally can't stand seeing him in the dug-out and my ire is raised with every defeat.

there is only one way this is going to end up and i'd prefer to get rid before it turns ugly.

since we're not going to clear the dead wood out any time soon, we need a motivator. a man-manager who can inspire.

potter ticks all the boxes for me.

You should have seen it last night: an orgy of self destruction.

no, it was just the fact that someone said he thought potter was only on 1m a year wages so we could have gone for him, i just pointed out about the possible issue with compensation that was reported as some think RB was employed due to the lack of compensation required
In reality you have to balance both. We did have to pay compensation for Martinez, Koeman and Silva I believe. Plus wages.

Fat Sam was ridiculous as a free agent on 6 million

Viera instilled a clear identity to Palace inside 12 games with a squad that needed completely rebuilt

Why should we not expect more from a manager who people claim is "elite"?

Why can he not make the team more solid and competitive if he's so good at his job?
Something something injuries something Eddie Howe waffle waffle procrastination Potterball garbage nonsense 1.7m

What about the last half a dozen games though before this one?

This situation perfectly encapsulates the arrogance and stupidity of those running the club.

Bringing him in was always going to be an enormous, unnecessary risk regardless, but doing so when there was no money to improve an already struggling squad was utterly ridiculous. Did they really believe that he's multiple-times the manager that Ancelotti is or something? Were they not aware that the fans would never treat someone they've hated for almost 20 years with kid gloves?

He'll see the season out, the shameless get, and eventually leave after finishing bottom half, to be replaced by some PE teacher who'll then be sacked with the team sitting just above the relegation zone in April, ready for the crack combo of Dunc and Kendall's watch to take us down. That'll set us up nicely for a summer of being laughed at because we didn't appreciate Rafael, like Newcastle when they sacked Allardyce.
