You only get time in football these days by earning it through results. Benitez has to prove he deserves time because he came into the club with no credentials to suggest he is still a top manager.

Anyone arguing for patience is asking for a losing mentality
. Patience is the opposite to what we should have. We should be desperate to improve every single day to get out of this total mess we are in.

By backing the manager, the club are making it an even bigger task to become competitive again. The longer we stick with Benitez the further we will regress.

Yet most of the managers people are suggesting to replace him either aren't top managers or wouldn't come here as we have no money. At least there's the 'possibility' he is still a top manager.

When you have no money you have to be patient. Would you have sacked Ancelotti when he had his bad runs? Sacked Silva while he was rebuilding? Expectiations needs to be based on reality and resources you can't base them on club mottos.

Your solution is to back an even less experienced and decorated manager with no money and expect him to deliver straight away, which is ludicrous.

It is certain to fail. Our fans were never going to give him time, it was never ever happening.

Most have in fairness - take on here for example there are hundreds if not thousands of members yet its only a handful of prominent voices moaning in this thread 24/7.

The silent majority largely accept the problems go beyond the manager and are willing to give him time to sort this club and squad oot as best he can.

You just wait and see Goodison Park at 10pm next Wednesday and we’ll revisit this.

To the folks who want him sacked, where does FFP come in your thinking? As we'll have to spunk x amount on yet another manager pay off. Considering we're in the red already.

People aren’t arsed about that, they just want him gone. For what it’s worth, I disagree with the narrative that our poor run of form is 100% down to him and that the obscene injury list hasn’t been the main contributor, but honestly why did people think that a section of our fanbase weren’t going to scapegoat him the second things went wrong? The longer the poor form continues, the bigger that section of the fanbase will grow, and there is going to come a tipping point where there are practically riots and the whole ground is demanding his sacking. It was always going to happen, he’s a Liverpool legend ffs and that really is the long and short of it. It’s why he should never have been appointed, the blame for this entire situation should lie with the owner.

And there it is.

Maybe, maybe not. I think people should give him a fair go. What if he's good enough to do well and you lot push him out? That ever crossed any of your minds?

You not see the double standards though?

@Kev The Rat was happy for Silva to finish 8th first season (with money to spend) yet is calling for Rafael's head while 2 points off 8th, loads of injuries, (next to no money to spend).

It's crazy.
They won't though.

That's all that matters. Moshiri should have known this.

Becrying double standards and trying to reason with peoples deep seated feelings over his past, whilst admirable are also an utter waste of time.

Not so speak for @Kev The Rat here but I would assume he was "happy" for Silva to finish 8th whilst not be happy for Benitez to be 2 points of 8th (what even is this?) will be because he thinks Benitez is a horrible RS blert above anything else. And that is a perfectly understandable reason for me.

All it takes is a handful of people.

To be fair most people probably cant be bothered going through the same tedious stuff every single day.
