Personally I'm terrified about central midfield. We're effectively two luxury players down, but same as last season, the depth is shocking in the engine room dept. There's no true reliable options beyond Doucoure and Allan.

Allan certainly, but I think in this system with these players Davies could do something similar to what Doucoure does. Allan though I think is irreplaceable, in that if we did get someone in who could replace him then he'd have to be starting games because he was that good.

Yeah, Davies I don't mind as a squad player. I think he does a good unassuming job supporting a better player with the right qualities.

Davies and Gomes.... *cries*.

Delph and Gbamin, well, the probability of them staying fit enough to play negates even worrying about if they'll add anything.

Be boss if we win the Goodison Derby and the Blues fans all around the ground are singing his name.

Lord he deserves it after putting the PRIDE back in this team.
I think the goal against Southampton and it’s timing was vital , without it I think things might have played out very differently but fortunately for him but most importantly for us it did happen like that .

So far he definitely scores highly and I’m delighted , the derby is for so many reasons crucial. Both the result , obviously but I also think his press conference, interviews and general conduct around it . I’ve no idea how he’s behaved when facing the RS since he left but this one is massive , if he gets a result and handles it well then he’ll do himself the absolute world of good with the fans . If he gets either wrong then a lot of his good work could be thrown aside , it’s early days here but so far it’s difficult not be happy with how it’s going .

If he comes out and says:

"The real reason I joined Everton is I realised that they're all gobshines, especially that Gerrard Schmuck, and I needed to atone for my sins. I'm on the right side of the force now".

Well, that that would be lovely.

Rafael was unbeaten in the Champions league. In all probability he would have won the champions league with them and finished 2nd. Exactly what Zidane achieved.

It's like someone going in to your work, stopping you half way through a job that you are working on and then Criticising you for not finishing that job.
lollollollollollollol
Canned after 6 months but TryHardNo.1Fan @Theoneandonly thinks he would have won the CL

oh laaaaawd

No - it’s like someone going into work, getting sacked for underperformance and then them being replaced by someone who absolutely excels at their job.

Zidane was the best manager in the world at that time; no one had done what he did those three years and no one has done it since.

he did fail at Real Madrid, yes

I like the way he has started the season, and having anyone determined to prove people wrong is usually a great thing in and of itself, but lets not forget his post-RS career has been one long session of underwhelm.

I'm not getting in to this again. He won the Europa League with Chelsea and finished 3rd after coming in part of the way in to the season and having the fans on his back. Roman thought he did such a good job that they remain friends to this day and he recommended Rafael to Uzmanov.

He basically transformed Napoli and set them up for the next 5 years. Won 2 trophies, 1 of which they hadn't won for over 20 years and he took them further in Europe than they had been for over a decade and still haven't got as far. Again he remains on close terms with De Laurentis. He's called the Godfather in Naples and is very much revered.

He took Newcastle up at the first time of asking and kept Newcastle in the league for 2 seasons. He created a great spine and was one of the best defensive teams outside the top 6. His form in the last 6 months there would have seen them in the top 8. Again was offered a new contract and is treated like a messiah on tyneside.

You can call him underwhelming all you like, see if you're still saying that after he achieves more than Moyes. People are already predicting that he will be our most successful manager since Kendall.
