I've just tried to change the spelling of a word in a recent post of mine here and spellchecker won't let me so I've deleted it.

It weakened the point I was trying to make which was that I'd chosen not to use the name that red fans did when referring our new manager.

It's forcing me to spell his name Rafael when the spelling I wanted was Rafael. See what I mean? I wanted the shortened version with 4 letters
Sexual swear words are banned on GOT mate.
Its for your own good.

You're using what previous managers have spent as a means to beat Rafael with. It's not his fault they overspent.

I don't recall Moyes having death threats "outside" his home.

I don't recall Moyes having fans still on his back, even though they're unbeaten in 3 games.

I don't recall Moyes having fans saying that unless he wins a trophy or gets in to Europe, they still won't support him.

I'm not saying Moyes hasn't done a good job by the way, I think he's been superb at West Ham and proven a lot of people wrong who thought he was busted. I hope the same happens with Rafael and us.

I dont think 1 banner, which was a bit of a joke really being that important mate. Either way, it will have no impact on managerial performance, and is not an excuse for Benny doing badly. He was given a rousing reception as manager, so he will succeed or fail on his own terms.

He has an expensively assembled squad, far more so than West Ham. I appreciate that's not his doing, but the squad and the expectations are different here. Hes had a good start, but let's be fair he has won games we should be winning really. So there should be no resting on his laurels just for doing what we would expect.

A win at home v Burnley and we will have as many points as carlo did 4 games in. They'll have to go back to drawing board then as Benitez will have plenty of games after that to surpass his start even if he loses the next couple considering we went off a cliff after the 4 under carlo.

Times running out. Cling onto 'ye but what about last year's start' with all your might. But have your next shout ready.

This was the league table on boxing day. Would be shocked if Benitez has us in a similar position after 15 games. It was after the new year things went to total muck

We can easily get 29 points by then. That was a season where we where pinching ourselves and wondering how we were there. With all the big teams being inconsistent. We could have that many points at the same time this year and be near mid table. Depends.

I'm of the opinion the Rafael bandwagon drawbridge needs pulling up before that fixture, they've had enough time to nail there blue colours to the Rafael mast.

Boxing day? Since when has anyone cared were we are on boxing day? The only place that counts is were you are after the last round of games, boxing day haha

It was more to do with the point the above poster made saying we'd went off a cliff after Carlo's first 4 last season which wasn't true, we were second at Christmas. Pretty pish from then til the end of the season mind.

We had 12 points from our first four games last season.

If you want to make a point that's fine, but just do a bit of basic checking.

Both Leeds and Arsneal were 12 points behind us at this stage and managed to finish above us still. Second half of the season was a disaster.
Weren’t Norwich near the top of the league at Christmas and got relegated back in the 90s? At least that didn’t happen to us last season lol

I think the longer Mr. Benitez stays at Everton the more background changes we will see, with Benitez and Everton FC becoming a stronger and better managed club, gradually becoming more competitive with the bigger clubs. Benitez is no fool but I think is fighting a clique at the club and needs help from the very top to win this battle, I’m 100% behind him and sincerely hope he comes out on top, mainly for the sake of Everton FC’s future.
