Injuries with no credible cover. We had to play 4 CBs at times with a midfield of the Davies, Snides and Iwobi.

We have no credible cover this year either.

If you want to make a point that's fine, but just do a bit of basic checking.

Only took 1 point from the next 4 games though, so 13 from 8. Hopefully we can be no worse off after 8 games than last year.

To be fair the top half of the table was very tight for like two thirds of the season last year. West Ham finished 6th because they ended the season strongly.

If you're talking about his 2nd season, then in his first 10 games, he won 5, drew 1, lost 4.

His first game was a boxing day game, we beat Burnley 1 nil with a DCL header. So that can't be right.

We then beat Newcastle away and lost to City away, before that debacle at Anfield

I think the longer Mr. Benitez stays at Everton the more background changes we will see, with Benitez and Everton FC becoming a stronger and better managed club, gradually becoming more competitive with the bigger clubs. Benitez is no fool but I think is fighting a clique at the club and needs help from the very top to win this battle, I’m 100% behind him and sincerely hope he comes out on top, mainly for the sake of Everton FC’s future.

Agree in hope. I don't think this is a stretch.
Think that Rafael offers something that's been lacking since Moyes, while also bringing something Moyes lacked, the ability to win something.
Allow me to indulge further in hoping they go for Simone following Rafael. Then we'd really be back on track.
