It was a suicidal appointment in the first place though mate.
You only have to look at the appointment of George Graham at Spurs, to see that appointing Benitez was doomed to failure.
Graham won a cup in his first season with Spurs and their fans still wanted him gone.
People did want him out from day one, I`m one of them. I`m not ashamed to admit, that I have the same level of dislike for him, as I have for Allardyce.
They are two sides of the same coin, the difference being, is that Allardyce doesn`t try to hide the fact that he`s a very limited manager, as you get exactly what it says on the tin with him - dour, negative football, that keeps a team in the division.
It was said from day one, that the only way Benitez was getting some of the fans ( me ) on board, was by showing a bit of grace and humility and carrying on where Ancelloti left off.
Instead, he`s showing that he`s incapable of change, as both on and off the pitch he`s reverted to type.
Moshiri has possibly made the biggest mistake of his whole tenure by appointing him and needs to rectify this quickly, before we end up in a position that we can`t get out of.
He`s scapegoating players, falling out with them, scapegoating staff and now calling out the fans.
Do you honestly think this is going to end well ?
