I think the players played for themselves against Arsenal. There was genuine fear on their faces when they tried to go to the fans at Brentford they were worried about a similar reaction.
The thing is after seeing the away fans yesterday, I think they sense now that Benitez is in trouble and that the fans are more likely to back them than the manager.
I'm not saying it's an ideal situation, this player power stuff ain't for me, but, it is what it is. It's just a matter of when Moshiri accepts that Benitez is a dead man walking.

No Dave they don't matter to the owner until a combination of the manager's outdated tactics ànd the disenchanted players not giving every last ounce of effort sees us in the bottom 4. That will matter to the owner.
