If Benitez does leave the call will be for Rooney or Duncan mark my words.. these two will never ever revolutionise the club which is exactly the course of action that Everton Football Club needs in 2021.. this club has drifted far to long to the point it simply exists to make up the numbers.. it will never win a trophy and it will never be relagated on its current path.. are people really happy with this..surely now is the time to upset the apple cart and try something drastic that will shake up the foundations of the club, you can count on one hand the amount of times Evertonians have been genuinely excited in the last 10 years.
Kopites really are gobshides aren't they mate ?

See you have a £70m valuation on here suggesting you’re a dedicated fan - talking about one of the best managers in the world as ‘ill suited’ and a man who’s put £500m into the club as an ‘idiot’

Surely EFC deserves better support than this
He was right on both counts. Just because your views differ doesn't mean you are a better fan than him or that his support of the club isn't the best.

He was right about Ancelotti being ill suited. He’s a manager who has done his best work at clubs with lots of money to spend and the resources to win the top prizes. He didn’t do well with our limited budget and jumped ship at the first chance to work with a club he is more suited to.
Fair enough - yes, perhaps he realised he’s happier at bigger clubs

He did deliver some real high points though with the wins we got against top sides

It seemed we were just a couple of players off a pretty decent side with him though and the mood was generally very good

When you say will never be relegated, have you seen us this season? We are in free fall, come Jan this team will be shot of confidence and we will be making more mistakes than we are now
Keane Coleman Holgate to name a few, it will be school boy defending at its worst

If Benitez thinks we're going in the right direction, for him maybe, Agent Rafael taking us to the Championship.

The truth of the matter is nothing personal, it's there in plain sight. Continue the way we are will will be in a relegation battle. The form becomes the millstone around the clubs neck. We may survive but one thing is for sure,
the direction we're going. It's defo not the right direction unless you're a RS

Moshiri seems quite a strange guy (and an accountant, not a strategist) but at the same time he’s put £500m into the club which surely we should have some gratitude for - unless any of us will step forward and do the same

It’s a tough competition and hard to crack the top 6 although we have been in and around that. The managers he’s brought in are just outside the very best really

Brands was perhaps out of his depth coming from the Dutch league

At least Raf’a has managed the top teams and won trophies etc - hence deserving a bit of time in my view
Moshiri gets zero gratitude from me. He has absolutely battered this club and desecrated what it stood for.

I have got about 20 quid to my name right now, but if I was to step forward I would not racially abuse our best players mother, I would not appoint Allardyce or Benitez to manage this club as I would think the fans should matter at least a bit, I would also not be signing players myself like Niasse, Iwobi and Tosun nor would I bring in a DOF, not let him do his job, give him a three year extension and a place on the board before sacking him 3 months later.

I also wouldn't be daft enough to think that appointing the biggest name manager would result in the best success, I would realize that a manager who has always needed money to achieve success and who was despised by a large amount of our fanbase may not be the best appointment when the fans are already fuming and we don't have a pot to pee in!

So no, no gratitude from me. The bloke is a danger.

Benitez deserves nothing from this club. I don't want to see the bloke abused or anything, I don't even hate him personally but we owe him absolutely nothing.

You didn't really answer my question anyway.

You do know he is going to fail regardless of how long he is here right?

There is no possible way for him to make a success of this. I would love to be wrong but he is doomed, he was from the very beginning.

Yes but to just dismiss the man who’s bankrolled the whole operation to the extent he has as an ‘idiot’ - that’s pretty extreme

Some general positivity would go a long way. There seems to be very little empathy for the people in there doing it

Perhaps the supporters club can find ways to bring the club and fans closer together so fans can get more of an appreciation of the work we do on the inside

He’ll fail if enough of the fans want him to because of his Liverpool connections, yes

But, with support and funding it’s not unreasonable to think he could have us back in the top 8 for starters

It depends what you’re calling success really

I get the sense some here would still find things to moan about if he delivered the premier league title
