Lets be honest here, its part of it, of course it is.

If he wins all the time we forget he is ex RS. But he was never going to win all the time and he was doomed as soon as he hit a poor run of form.

And then you compound that with a quite frankly hideous set of results this season combined with ropy recent results elsewhere and the fact that he is not very likable regardless then he was always destined to fail.

What on earth was Moshiri (or Usmanov or whoever) thinking?
Oh totally yes. I said today I didn’t want him to start with because of who he is but it wouldn’t matter if he was guardiola or big nev whos my favourite ever player I’d want him gone at this point because the results and performances are both terrible and have been all season. Him being an obnoxious stubborn kopite makes me ashamed he’s our manager but it’s what’s happening on the pitch that makes me want him sacking.

Do you think you would do a better job as manager or Chair? Would you inject £500m into the club?

Just my view but I’d stay with him through the next few matches (likely some more losses) and back him to improve things in the new year when we have a run of easier fixtures - plus the opportunity to make some signings in Jan (plus hopefully more significant ones next summer)

Despite recent form I believe we’ll avoid the drop, given the squad we have, will of all involved with the club, points already accumulated and quality of clubs below us
I don’t have £500m to inject into the club. If I did, yes I’d make better decisions, because I would recognise the limitations of my own knowledge and wouldn’t overrule the football people I put in place to make the decisions. I’m very grateful for the money he’s put in on a theoretical level, but on a practical level, we’re in a significantly worse position than when he took over (with the obvious exception of the stadium - but we’re talking about footballing decisions here)

Whether I’d do a better job as manager is utterly irrelevant and a complete straw man argument. But since you seem to want to go down that (rather strange) road - on the basis of the last 10 games, how much worse could any of us do?!

Yes but to just dismiss the man who’s bankrolled the whole operation to the extent he has as an ‘idiot’ - that’s pretty extreme

Some general positivity would go a long way. There seems to be very little empathy for the people in there doing it

Perhaps the supporters club can find ways to bring the club and fans closer together so fans can get more of an appreciation of the work we do on the inside
I mean we do get money from the Premier League too...

A fool and his money, its a well known saying for a reason.

An "idiot" isn't extreme. I could call him worse if I wasn't abiding the rules here. (Not as bad as what he called Lukaku's mum of course...)

Positivity or negativity online is not the same thing anyway. Especially on a members forum like this. The crowds in the ground have been generally backing the team.

I have read through your post and think you have made some valid points, will go through some if I may...

When Mike Walker left and Walter Smith came in Everton Football Club were still regarded as a biggish club.. still a big draw for a manager and Everton had been League Champions less than ten years before.. the club was at the time still regarded as one of the so called big five..

Now fast forward to now.. the Club has remained trophyless for coming up to thirty years, they are no longer regarded by the footballing community as a big club only by its own fans and have had manager revolving door as fast as Real Madrid last five or six years. What I am trying to get across is the Club is no longer as attractive as it once was so bringing in top managers is virtually impossible.

The other point you make about maybe a young and up and coming manager.. keen to make a go of it coming in is also unfortunately going to be just as difficult.. the have seen first hand with the treatment of Benitez there is a fanbase here who don’t give managers time.. don’t excuse terrible injury crisis and don’t care if the manager gets no real money.. they would basically eat a young manager with no real experience alive.. which young manager wants to risk his reputation or cut his teeth in such a poisonous environment.

Your final point about what Benitez has done well since he has been here is a difficult one to answer but will try to give you my thoughts.. I think in some situations the man has not helped himself and like all managers with hindsight he could of done better.. I think he knows more than most of us regarding what’s going on behind scenes so maybe that’s why certain players don’t play.. do play or get left out for certain reasons we know nothing about.. look at the Richarlison situation against Palace when he was dragged off.. we never knew the extent of the injury but he did.. he has the experience in the game to know what makes a successful football club he has managed Liverpool.. Madrid.. Inter Milan and Chelsea he can’t of gone there and not seen how they tick.. this is why he has started the build.. upsetting people too comfy in there positions.. won the battle over transfers with Brands.. got stuck into the medical set up all things he feels he can do better with with full control.. the problem is you want get to see the benefits overnight and fans or should I say the SKY Sports brigade won’t wait.. it’s just a modern fan thing no patience...

The club won’t get relagated that’s a fact.. even the most anti Benitez fan knows there are far worse teams below and they also know deep down once the injury list clears and a kinder run of fixtures come in.. the club will move up the table..
So what your saying is we should wait and see what transfers he gets at the end of the year, then he's ours either way

Googling the definition of ‘idiot’ - it says ‘a person of low intelligence’

Googling also shows that Moshiri was at UCL, EY, Deloitte etc - all of those would have tested his intelligence one way or another before letting him in

I doubt he has low intelligence, that’s not to say he’s not weird though

And yet there are people who (I assume) are actually Everton fans like @Saint Domingo and @Tubey who insist the only reason we want him out is his Liverpool connection. Forget the wums and obvious kopites it’s people like that who are the proper dangers so determined to be seen as edgy and open minded that they’d genuinely rather Everton got relegated than admit they were wrong and we just made a terrible appointment.

How can you be edgy by backing this manager? It’s the least edgy thing to do. I know the results are bad, but they’ve been bad under other managers as well. Give it a wider sample and it’ll probably revert to the mean for these players. They’re mince. Someone needs to sort the root causes out. I’ll take a poor season if it means a manager has a chance to sort some of the issues out.

When Benitez speaks in the press conferences I recognise what he’s saying. The issues he’s mentioning are the ones that have dogged this side for ages, injuries, poor form, poor mentality. At least Benitez recognises this. Half the time I had no clue what Koeman and Silva were even on about.

Like I’ve said numerous times, I’ve got no real fondness for Benitez, I couldn’t care less for him personally, what I am bothered about is seeing these players out the door, and Benitez is the tool to get that done, a change in manager means these players get another 12 months and I can’t be doing with that.

If your source knows the manager isn't happy with players
Does he know if players are all happy with him

1 x easily guessed.
What do you make of this?
I reckon Benitez praise calling Allan a warrior, is a subtle message to sicknotes like Mina etc

"Allan told me he wants to play and help the team, he is a warrior"

Ok, fair enough.

In terms of being a football club owner he is an idiot.

How's that?

I know some very intelligent people who are incredibly useless at things they don't know much about.

A person who employs a universally hated figure (and he was at the time, lets get that straight) to manage his football club who is well known for needing money to spend to have any modicum of success all whilst having no money to give him reeks of a person of low intelligence to me (in footballing terms).

I reckon Mina has wanted out ever since Rodriguez get shoved out.

Not that he was exactly Mr Indestructible before that.
