The statement I was replying to was ‘these problems are not his doing’

I believe he is responsible for the worst run for 30 years or whatever it is, and these are not actually the culmination of a whole load of problems that have built up before he arrived. No way.

There have been issues but not to the extent that this kind of run can be explained away.

3 of our finishes have been 11th or below in the last 7 years. 1 was 10th. So over 50% have been 10th or below. Not exactly great whatever way you try to dress it up. Not excusing Benitez either, it's been crap, but I'm willing to give him a chance to bring his own players in to suit his system and see how it goes from there
