Spot on. Look he did well at Valencia but took over a very good team, think they finished second the season before he took over. Then took over a RS team that won trophies and left them in a mess.

Record in the transfer market is hit and miss, plays terrible football and is a cold fish that falls out with players. What possessed us to think this is the guy to completely rebuild the club? I just don’t see it.

Haha cold fish? Maybe stick with good old uncle Carlo who will put his arm around a player and give him a cuddle.. thats exactly what the players last five or six years need here.. more of that.. not nasty old Raphael who will make them work hard and give them a kick if they don’t show a proper working mentality...

Thing is there comes a point where managers/coaches need to stop demanding the kin cheque book all the time and just get on with their bloody job ie managing/coaching the players, there is still more that could be extracted from this squad under the right leader imo.

I think many of our fans over rate our squad tbh.

DCL / Richarlison / Doucoure / Mina / Gray / Pickford

Those 6 aside the rest are bang average unfortunately and the above 6 are by no means guaranteed starters for any top 4/6 side unlike Lukaku or Gana was.

I think we are a 8th-12th level side at present and recent league finishes under numerous managers have shown that.

All I can say is well done to the manager for turning this run of defeats around, we haven't been beaten in a good while despite a busy December fixture list. I didn't think he'd still be in a job by now so fair play sometimes you just have to recognise brilliance.

Absolutely back that model when it's done properly (ie the DoF actually has authority to make decisions). We've never had that.
