We are now 5 points and a much worse goal difference from just getting into the top half.

Benitez himself said 8th isn't good enough, but we are now 9 points from 7th, and if we wanted top 6, it's 11 points.

We came 10th last season. Yet, now his fans are claiming he needs time to fix problems. Being 15th is a problem of his making because we were never 15th last season, I mean, how often were we not in the top half last season? Even with an injury crisis.

Yes.

He’s an experienced football manager who has operated at all levels of the game across different leagues and has won trophies.

We are a clown show basket case who have pissed 500 million up the wall and somehow got massively worse, we’ve led ourselves into a huge FFP hole, we have one of the worst medical departments in the league, our recruitment is an absolute joke, we’ve fired 4 managers recently and two DOFs, and our owner communicates via Jim White’s WhatsApp.

So yes given the fact we are an utter train wreck with not a single iota of footballing knowledge anywhere in the building then I think it’s not a bad idea to have a bloke in house who might actually have some clue of what he’s doing to try and make a start on fixing all this.

The term 'experience' infuriates me

They all have an abundance of experience probably close to 100 years between them and yet they are utter garbage football managers just like the one we have here.

Any of them won the Champions League, europa league, FA Cup, Copa Italia? Any of them got Valencia, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Inter, Chelsea on their CVs?

There’s top level experience, then there’s bouncing around English football for decades. They’re different things

Do they look more ridiculous? Just because we could lose two and still be there, isn't an argument for accepting him. 2 of the games we have in hand are against 2 of the teams currently fighting down there.

We have also already lost to Watford and failed to beat Leeds. Not sure why you think it's ridiculous that we struggle to beat any of them below and they catch us.

How many managers go to the Italian League winners and Champions League winners and have them 10th the following season
