You seem to think that this season is the only one in which he can relegate us, personally i think we are in much greater danger next season, at that stage he will have lost Richy and DCL and replaced them with his modern equivalent of the rubbish he brought to Newcastle. His tactics and style of play are dead in the modern game, his propensity for falling out with players, staff and boards is slowly starting to show itself again. We are going backwards at a phenomenal rate under him, but you know what? Let him do his rebuild, let him run us into the ground, just hope the point of no return isnt reached before people cop onto the fact that the man is at least 10 years behind the curve
Post of the day

Must have missed when he bought Gray in who is now our best attacking player alongside Richarlison and DCL.
Take your blue tinted glasses off, we are an absolute mess at the moment and Benitez seems to be making it a lot worse with his stubbornness, defensive style of crap football and his desire to get rid of all our best players. The guy is a terrible manager and has been for many years and that's why he ended up in the Chinese league which never ended up well for him.

Bravo.

This fat buffoon is so behind the times that it's incomprehensible that a team in the premier league would hire the bozo.

We have to give him a full season at least. Yeah a bit like how we needed to give Mike Walker a full season.lol We need a dynamic younger manager with a long term plan, and can get this team playing some decent football. This negative minded kopite has been, who falls out with all his players, is just not the right man for the job. The longer he stays in charge, the more damage he'll cause to this great club imo.

A million likes heading over to Cork.

I don’t even think Benitez has to win a trophy.. if he can stabilise the Club.. sort out the structure and put in a blueprint for the club going forward then he will be seen as a huge success... the plan is to make sure the decade of mess is a thing of the past before the club moves to its new stadium...
It looks like he has made a good start behind the scenes.. by winning the internal battles with the medical side of things and the removal of that awful DOF.. next he will weed out the players with poor attitudes and those who lack the ability and intensity of what he wants on the pitch...
Pity he cant change the mentality of some of the fans who pine for the mediocrity of last decade..

How can you spout so much crap with 1 braincell amazes me !!!

Problem here is two fold.

1) You say he is our best attacking player alongside Richarlison and DCL but what happens next season when he is our best attacking player because the lads have moved on first chance they got? I think you referenced earlier (I apologise if it was someone else) that Rafael has said 8th isnt good enough, well when Gray is your best attacker then 8th is a pipe dream.

2) Gray has been very good for us but he is the exception that proves the rule amongst Townsend, Begovic and Rondon. Ill go on record and say, it absolutely baffles me how anyone can support any manager who brought Rondon to their club, and probably pays him in excess of 100k p/w. The Grays arent the worry if he brings in more, the worry is the one Gray for every 4 or so absolute duds he will bring in

Thats whats impressed me most about Benitez so far - Koeman/Silva/Ancelotti had no desire to get involved in any off the field matters which ultimately has helped lead us to the mess we are in.

Moyes and Martinez were the last managers to ask questions of various other departments.

Long may it continue.
