Most managers don't have so many key injuries at the same time.

Most managers get more than 1.7m to spend.

Most managers don't have zero money to spend as their board have a clue what they are doing.

so.... the Board (and us) are persisting with what everyone recognises as a failed manager (purely based on results compared to the last 5 sackings) because the Board don't have a clue and didn't back him - this literally makes no sense! ... we really are more f-ed up than I thought.

No, because he's had next to no money, unlike every manager we've had for the last 20 years. Has had a long list of injuries to key players this season and our squad is absolute pony once you look beyond the starting 11.

He deserves a 'fair' chance. Sacking him while ignoring the injury crisis and the lack of money isn't that fair.

So you don't use net spend for Benitez at Newcastle but you do for Moyes while he was at Everton.

Seems like you shift the goalposts to try and make your argument more convincing each time.

On the flip side, their "potential" is a constant burden on their shoulders. Look at Kane, he wants to win trophies. Can he realistically do that at Spurs? I'm sure the NFL deal keeps him happy about his career trajectory.

You could say that about us to. Fan expectation is far higher than anything that can ever be achieved. Spurs will never win the premier league or any other significant trophy.

We will likely never win anything ever again in my lifetime. Seventh is our trophy.
